Catch and shoot 3’s are not his game and never will be his game.

We all know Wade has tremendous talent and used to be an elite player, but offensively it’s like trying to fit a square peg into a round hole on this team as a starter.

The last thing I want to do is cater to Wade “the starter” to the detriment of everyone else.

I disagree.

Wade as a starter is ONLY a problem with Rose.

Wade with LBJ/Crowder/Love/JR would work great.
 
I'm pretty damn sure the plan is Wade and IT.

TT is just saying there is an option to play Wade at the point and have him split ball handling duties with LBJ.

Obviously IT will be the starter when he returns, I think he was just arguing (in the short term), Wade at the point would probably work better offensively.
 
I've had some serious Larry Hughes flashbacks these first 2 games. Ugh, the early long 2s.
 
THis signing is really going to hurt us. It's a lose lose situation.

If he plays well enough, he is still not better than our other options, and if he plays bad, chances are that we still play him regardless. If we somehow decide not to play him because of poor performance, our locker room will be in trouble.

This team compared to last season can outscore teams from all over the court and for the first time in 4 years not exchange baskets and build leads effortlessly. Crowder gives us just so much.. it's crazy.

We havn't lost any shooting at all, it's just who we decide to put on the floor, but it's a weird situation to be in.

Big opportunity for Wade tomorrow. Should have more spacing early. He needs to make up for losing Rose's ability to get to the rim.
 
yeah hes not good right now. still dribling and then picking the ball up before he knows who to pass to which when he was athletic wasnt as much of a problem because he could jump pass but he just cant do that any more
 
It’s almost like everyone in the world predicted what would happen with this lineup...

Wade needs to stop with the long 2s. It’s not helping anyone.

Not really sure how this lineup fares against GS because without rim protection Durant will eat us alive attacking the rim as he did last year with easy layups and dunks with nobody to stop him, but the offense and spacing will be better. GS provides many problems we will still be heavy underdogs against them no matter what lineups we put out there, I'm having trouble thinking about a lineup versatile enough to both score & defend against them.

About Wade/Rose, Unfortunately Rose and D-Wade are redundant, both can't shoot but Rose is way better at getting to the rim because hes still relatively young and explosive, doesn't take many mid range shots which is great.

Wade on the other hand takes a lot of contested mid-range jumpers which are the worst shots you can atake in basketball, Wades role should be coming off the bench when LeBron rests and take care of playmaking/running the team duties to make sure we won't lose 20 point leads in 2 minutes while LeBron sits.

Having so many non shooters on the floor at the same time is a big no no, and don't even think about trying that shit against GS because they will demolish you.
 
Wade has been by far our worst player.

It's remarkable that he has a WS of -0.130 in two wins. This just shows you how bad he has been and how poorly he fits. It's like we give the other player almost a star player to play for their team while we play with 4 players on the court.

Both Wade and Rose can't shoot, but atleast Rose has traits that no one on our rosterh has. We still don't use him right, but everytime he got a proper screen he got to the basket with ease.. he also cuts to the basket to spots that he is more effective in. He doesn't just stand at the 3pt line whether it's a good thing or not, he shows effort. He also has a WS/48 of 0.170 even when he doesn't play to his full potential.

Wade Otoh has zero off-ball movement and doesn't do one thing that we need at the moment. Looking at him and I can't see how he isn't frustrated with his role either.. if not now, then properly later on. That sucks.

We even lose the opportunity to develop our rookies alongside Lebron. I would have been very much fine with it if it was for someone who atleast impacts the team positively.

I know it's only been 2 games, but it's very hard to see how bad he fits.. if he just missed shots then sure, if he was just bad defensively then sure, but he can't get to any spots on the floor other than a low efficiency mid range shot and he makes it very hard for Lebron and our guys to get good looks.

Gonna pray to PED god that he finds his youth again.

Once IT comes back how do you see Lue intergrate both Wade/Rose/TT in a lineup? staggering the minutes is going to be a challenge, and one of them is going to play very few minutes.. let's hope it isn't Rose, but he is the easier target.
