Dwyane Wade: Back to Riley (#CavsLifer)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
One underrated thing Wade is doing well - he is by far the best post entry passer on the Cavs.
With all the elbow sets the Cavs are running now (thank you Lue) this is such an underrated skill. Now if only someone can teach LeBron how to use a dribble handoff for easy buckets.

Thank God this guy cut his hair. Idk wtf was going on but happy it's over

Just don't get the hate.

Off the ball he plays real well, especially with LeBron. On the ball, he is terrible. He ISO for a long 2 point shot everytime. He doesn't have the quickness to beat guys off the dribble unless they are a slow footed big man.

He would play more consistently with a PG to take him off the ball. You can see his high basketball IQ off the ball, he cuts, moves to the right spots, and positions himself for rebounds well. The problem is his tunnel vision and he has lost a step or two, making ineffective on the ball.

He plays well off the ball in spurts and in transition. In the half court, nobody guards him on the perimeter. He’s just not a player who can help a team win a series against any good team or any team, really. There’s a reason his RPM look so ghastly (bottom 5% player).

The consistency is a huge issue with Wade. I wish we had options but in the short term it doesn't seem like we do. Long term hopefully trades and IT being healthy will help.

Rpm also has jj over lebron and giannis. The stats can be misleading because the season is so young

Wade is a clutch vet who has a knack for stepping his game up in cruicial moments. Hes old and has lost a step but his presence is definitely welcome in closing time of games. Especially with the options we have.

He's so fucking good at finding the open spots on the floor off the ball and knowing when, where and how to cut.

Now, if they can just get him to stop taking pull up mid range jumpers 6 seconds into the shot clock (who am I kidding, that's part of the deal with him).

Yeah he's certainly a relic of a past era of NBA SG's(who don't have good 3P shots) along with a younger guy like DeRozan, but he brings a lot of other stuff to the table still, and defintely contributed big time in the final 17 minutes of tonights game.
