You guys are nuts. He's literally the only guy on the team actually playing defense. The amount of times our guards blow assignments is abysmal. And the rest of the crew is garbage other than Okoro on defense. Mobley has to cover for everyone.

And how do those guards reward him, but playing iso on 90% of the plays....err can we even call them plays?

I'm not trying to give him the benefit of the doubt, but exactly how many points should be be scoring when no one ever gets him the ball ..and yeah his screens are really terrible...I don't get that aspect of his game at all when he seems pretty fundamental on most things.

Anyways...his defense isn't just good, freaking astounding. I can only imagine someone saying otherwise is only looking at box scores.

I hope his ankle is good to go today. I think that was a factor as to why he disappeared offensively in game 5. He's offensively challenged on even his best day. Put him on the court with a bunch of tall, long guys who outweigh him, then give him a gimpy ankle and it's a lost cause. he needs all his hops to compete against a team like the Magic because he can't get by on skill offensively.

The volume in here is much louder in Cavs losses than Cavs wins..

Mobley has to be better but also had 16 rebounds, 5 offensive rebounds, 5 blocks and was a +9..

Carter, Wagner and Isaac had 11 total rebounds..

And another 5 blocks today.

Kept points off the board for the Magic in both halves

Hopefully his balls drop against the Celtics. Garland we know doesn't have that talent. It's in Evan's dna. He just doesn't know it at 22.

Okay fine!

Only 7 rebounds…. Go impact the game for your team and dominate in other ways…

Go out there and give this team 15-20 boards and 5 blocks….

Cavs win the game if he did that….

No more excuse-juice for this JAG
The more and more I comb through my old posts the more I realize just how spot on I usually am….

Honestly that’s because in wins everyone hangs on the game thread celebrating. Plenty of praise for Mobley there

Rewatched the game and paid attention to Mobley.
1. He uses his shoulder to generate space and leverage. He needs to use his lower body more to generate space and not lose balance.
2. The passes the guards give to Mobley are off target. He needs to improve his mitts but give him at least a chance to catch it.
3. That floater game needs reps. Every time he steps on the paint its one dribble and a floater, no need to be physical all the time. That was a weapon for him in college and his rookie year.
4. Needs more squats.
