Fantasy Basketball Steals

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
My Marc Gasol man-crush is reaching unhealthy levels. He dropped 40 pounds this summer and has turned into his older brother. He is my fantasy team captain.

I was really unlucky when I drafted because I missed him by one spot. I was REALLY pissed because the man can produce, and he was underrated by ever fantasy draft reporter on ESPN and Yahoo. I knew he was going to kill it, but I didn't expect the guys in one of my leagues to know that.

My best team is on Yahoo fantasy though (12 team head to head):

Andre Miller
D.J Augstin (waiting on a waiver so I can get Rodney Stuckey)
Chris Duhon (Nate is injured for two weeks. I'll probably drop him after Kryptobitch gets back).
LeBron
Brook Lopez
Richard Jefferson
David Lee
Zach Randolph
Marc Gasol
Scola
Jason Kidd
CDR (also a steal for a few weeks)
Monta Ellis

My team has terrible guards apart from Kidd and Ellis but I still believe that I'm getting the trophy barring any injuries (knock on wood).

Marc Gasol with a lazy 16 and 16, thankyou auto-draft.

I just snagged my other deep sleeper off waivers: Chuck Hayes. Surprisingly, he is getting starters minutes in Houston.

He is efficient but not spectacular in shooting percentages, grabs some rebounds, and I see him finishing in the top 15 in the league in steals. Most importantly, he can fill your lineup as a SF, PF, C. Nice last guy on the bench to help snag the steals and rebounds categories.

I have some injury issues this week, mostly nagging crap, so I'm happy to get some help against Pip.

If you can pick up Shaq now, he might be a good option.

Brandon Jennings:

25 pts, 2 3PM, 4 assists, 2 steals.

Better get him while you still can, if you can.

With Yi injured, CDR is doing great. He's a 20,5,2,1,1 guy. Not bad for the 15th guy on your team.

I am liking my pickup of Roy Hibbert. He is averaging almost 14 points with 12 rebounds and 3 blocks a game over his last 7 games.

Also Spencer Hawes is a very good inside player and is somewhat underrated in fantasy.

I also like Chalmers (who I picked up off of waivers)

Wow... how were those guys available?

I wish you guys could see everything going on in the RCF league... this is like Russian chess over here.

Ben Wallace looking solid right now...

Tyreke Evans until Kevin Martin comes back. Last game he had 32 points and 7 assists. At half time tonight, he has 20 points and 6 rebounds. Plus he's good for at least one steal a game.

It is a 10 team keeper on ESPN. Also had Marreesse Speights and I dropped him for Hibbert. I then picked him back up when Michael Redd went down. I am thin on guards now that Kevin Martin is injured but I have enough scoring with Kaleena, Chauncy, Wince, and Curry to pick up the slack.

His rebounding numbers have been pretty good this season, they're up near 9 a game if I'm not mistaken... if you need help in that department, it might not be a bad idea to snag him if he's a free agent.

Right now, my team is 34-11-0 and tied for first in my league. My sleepers have all been awesome - Marc Gasol and Brandon Jennings, to name a couple of late steals. Actually, I think Jennings was my second to last pick, and Gasol was a mid-rounder.

If Devin Harris can return to form, I'm gonna run away with this league.

I made my second move all year in the RCF League: I picked up Eric Dampier.

I don't care if he had a weak first game back... he has three more games to play this week, and at this point in the season a bonafide top 10 rebounder and shot blocker isn't very easy to find. All he has to do is defend and rebound better than Drew Gooden by the end of the week. I like my chances.

It's funny, Randolphkeys... I was using him early on, but I had to drop him due to that sickness and was planning on picking him back up at first chance, but you beat me to it...

He'll help. Hopefully on my end, J.J. can do something for me. People may be dropping him, but you gotta love the potential...

I have all 3 of them too...but I actually picked Jennings and Gasol off Free Agent list after week 1, so I really got a steal.

My other players that aren't huge names that are doing well are Gallinari and Jason Thompson. Really good stats for them.
