I wish there was a counter force for the authority. It would be nice to see a face GM, or even a heel board member type character.
In a perfect world, and I know WWE History/contractual obligations will prevent it, id like to see the Bullet Club invade NXT. Not even the main roster, but NXT because those fans will not only get it, but appreciate it and make the atmosphere electric. Problem is Bullet Club are (were) heels in Japan because of their tactics. Just being here alone would put them over.
You want network subscriptions & ratings?
Here is what you do:
Sign Styles/Bullet Club members (3 or 4), Styles + an enforcer sends the message. Have 1 or 2 guys get attacked, then have 3 maybe even four episodes of NXT (given its one hour) where Regal & Balor are trying to find out who it is. One or two weeks in there, link a few bad things happening on Raw (destroyed car, attack, mics going out, cryptic messages). Hell WWE can tie in a social account that interacts with the wrestlers, and posts comments on what they are doing. Since NXT is taped, you could secretly film the segments, and add them to taped shows without anyone in the live crowd noticing.
About week 7 or so, Balor calls them out one week before a live event. Have him say some BS about not wanting to see see friends get hurt so he will give a title shot to whomever comes forward. Hype the shit out of it on Raw & SD. Help use it to establish Balaor as a valiant warrior, but not afraid to go to his dark side....yadda yadda yadda.
Live event, Balor comes out. The crowd waits, no music hits, and then from the crowd one by one, bullet club members pop up from the crowd. Only to have AJ standing at the top of the ramp. Crowd will go nuts. If you could even somehow tie this into a free subscription month, even better for eyes on the product. Club attacks hims, and thats it.
Fast forward, have Balor go to NJPW and knock out Styles. There fans will mark out like crazy. Balor gets on the mic, and challenges him for the NXT title on a NJPW show. WWE can use all mediums to promote, and then pay NJPW a fee or rate for the PPV (there has to be a way to make it work). AJ goes over (not clean), but Bullet Club wins and does some bs with the actual belt. They then hold it ransom, get the authority involved, get vince involved, and have a WWE team go over to get it. Bring in whomever, even if Balor again and wins it.
That is a good 2-3 months worth of damn good product. Sadly, NJPW has an agreement with TNA. Based on AJ recently being referenced on WWE social media & the live from Japan network event, I would say a healthy working relationship wouldnt be too far gone. Theyre indirect competitors and their audiences are on different sides of the globe. NJPW has tried to get into the US with not a whole lot of success and vice versa.
