Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I usually love Skyrim esque RPGs like Fallout, but I just had a hard time getting into this one. How long does it take to pick up? I think I could get into it, just starts a bit slow for me.

I'd also like to bring up another one that I just recently started playing again. LA Noire, made by Rockstar. Same kind of feel as a GTA game, but you're a cop solving crimes. Have to look for evidence, interrogate suspects etc. It's got an engaging story and it's a lot of fun. Not sure I'd say it's one of my favorites, but I really like it. Beat it when it first came out and I don't really remember it much so I'm going through it again.

How is this game? Love zombie shit..

If you're a big zombie guy then you kind of have to play it. The zombies are more fun than the ones in Left 4 Dead. Dead Island's act more like Walking Dead than the zombies that run like a million miles an hour.. sure, there are some runners. But that's ok. The game is fun so far. I'm 20% through it. I like scavenging through people's shit for batteries and phones and what not... Idk why I need them but I'm sure they'll come in handy.

Anyways, check it out. I don't think it'll have much replay value.. but the game is fun.

I was reading up on Witcher 2 thinkin about getting it and I read it is based off a series of books. I'm going to check them out after I finish the Night Angel trilogy by Brent Weeks.

The Witcher 2 has one of the best written storylines in a game I have ever played. Combat was also very fun.

The goal for the Witcher 3 is to couple their great storytelling with an open world as large as Skyrim. If they pull it off and execute properly, you could be looking at one of the best RPG's of all time.

Does one need to have played the first Witcher to follow the story?

Not really... Friend of mine played Witcher 2 on the PC (he's primarily a console gamer, but...) Dude had never played the first game, and absolutely loved it.. Dude is hardly an RPG fanatic.

I mean, not really, but it couldn't hurt. If nothing else, try to read through a decently thorough summary of the first game (and the literary universe in general) and give it a read. It will certainly help you better understand the world and the terms they start throwing around right at the start.

Definitely recommend Witcher series. A pair of really challenging action RPG's coupled with a good storyline. Don't NEED to play the first but I recommend it. I honestly like the first one more than the second one but thats just personal preference. Collecting cards was fun...

If you want to play the first Witcher, you can find an a Good Old Games version pretty easily. It pretty much plays like a Diablo clone to be honest with you.

Plus you can buy both games on Steam for a combined 30 bucks, which is a hell of a deal considering how many hours of solid gameplay you can get out of the pair.

Speaking of Fallout, still waiting on 4...

Just like Gouri' friend. Never played the first, still loved the witcher 2.

I'll get the game after I finish Dead Island... But right now I'm more excited about reading the best selling book series.

It's a good game, not Left 4 Dead good but if you enjoy zombie games you will absolutely enjoy this one.

See I am obssessed with all things zombie (even played HvZ in college) I hated dead island, thought it was slow moving and the combat system sucked. Just my opinion though
