Four Team Deal Sends Howard to Lakers

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Re: Three-Way ORL Trade Rumor with Lakers and Cavs

OH BOY!

Re: Three-Way ORL Trade Rumor with Lakers and Cavs

Jamison in a sign and trade would be preferable over sending them Thompson.

If we get Bynum, that Zeller trade is a waste.

Much rather have P Jones and/or Sullinger...oh well.

What's that saying about hindsight again...?

Hell, the way Tony Wroten looks right now, I'd take him at 24 (if Perry would not have been there. Don't forget, Sullinger wouldn't have been available at 24).

Re: Three-Way ORL Trade Rumor with Lakers and Cavs

preferable to noone except the Cavs.Thats pretty much not going to happen.

Personally, anything buy Kyrie and I pull trigger here. As much as Bynum is a peice of trash attitude, gotta get that low post threat.

Also consider, Waiters + Z2 aren't tradeable until january I believe.

I give up the choice of AV or Thompson, and whatever else. But we should keep 1 of those 2 along with Kyrie, and this is golden.

Pipe dreams though.

Re: Three-Way ORL Trade Rumor with Lakers and Cavs

How many picks are we willing to throw in there for Bynum?

TT, 2 Heat First Rounders, 2 Cavs first rounders?
That's a lot of first rounders lol.

Plus we have to think about how much salary Orlando is looking to dump. Don't want to give up TT and 3-4 first rounders plus take on a huge contract

Bynum better fucking come with an extension if that's the package.

So you mean you'd prefer sending something of little value over something of decently high value....really?

I'm sure Orlando would too.

Re: Three-Way ORL Trade Rumor with Lakers and Cavs

You'd think we'd be giving up Tristan and some of our most valuable picks. Not that it wouldn't be worth it... Orlando wouldn't want Andy. Escpecially if they were to give up on Bynum.

Re: Three-Way ORL Trade Rumor with Lakers and Cavs

Okay, I am confused. Apparently Bynum is high on cleveland, if Grant is going after him, he must be high on him as well. Why not just sign him in FA?

Think of it like NY and Melo.

Melo would have signed with NY, but NY gave up almost everyone and went all in with A'mare, Tyson, and Melo. I wouldn't exactly call them treadmill, but they aren't exactly championship contenders.

I think Kyrie and Bynum are excellent 1 and 2 options on a championship team, but we have plenty of guys who could potentially take the load off of those 2, so why trade them?

Imagine NY if they still had guys like Gallonari, Chandler, Mozgov, and multiple picks. Maybe cap space would be a potential issue, but it wouldn't be one for us. So why not just wait and sign him? Are they afraid he will change his mind or something?

I wouldn't think twice about offering Tristan, lottery pick next year, and some cap relief. It might cost more, but to me that's a no-brainer. You don't think twice about it. I love Tristan, but common, he's no Andrew Bynum.

Having a dominant big man, and point guard, you can't pass on that.

About shit my pants. Good things happen when I play Rock Band.

Re: Three-Way ORL Trade Rumor with Lakers and Cavs

Well. As said, Zeller and Waiters can't be dealt post-signing. We have picks, Thompson, Varejao, and cap room for a bad contract. I'd love playing Zeller at the 4 and have twin towers. He's a great complement to Bynum due to his midrange capabilities. Getting ahead of myself....

Lakers, Magic, Cavs Talk Three-Team Deal
By Alex Kennedy

The Los Angeles Lakers, Orlando Magic and Cleveland Cavaliers have discussed a three-team deal that would send disgruntled superstar Dwight Howard to Los Angeles, according to sources close to the situation. The three teams have discussed a number of scenarios. While no trade is imminent, the talks are ongoing.

One scenario would send Howard to Los Angeles, Andrew Bynum to Cleveland and a package of picks and prospects to Orlando, according to sources.

The Lakers would land Howard, who they have been aggressively pursuing for quite some time.

The Cavaliers would acquire a second star to put alongside Kyrie Irving, one that they should be able to keep long-term since Cleveland has been mentioned as a team that Bynum will consider signing an extension with.

The Magic would acquire a number of prospects and draft picks as well as a significant amount of cap relief, which is exactly what they want in exchange for Howard. Rather than bringing in veterans who will keep the team competitive, Orlando wants to stockpile young talent and completely rebuild.

The Houston Rockets remain interested in Howard and they’ve also been in contact with Magic brass in recent days. The Rockets’ money is currently tied up in restricted free agents Jeremy Lin and Omer Asik, whom they’ve signed to offer sheets.

At this point, there’s no clear frontrunner for Howard, but the Lakers and Rockets are certainly leading the charge for the six-time All-Star.
