Game 2: Youngstown

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Very obvious this is a team still very much in search for its identity due to competitions at key positions.

Early returns tell me it’s with McCord at QB and Trayanum being RB1.

McCord needs to be given the keys, soon. Trayanum will probably take over naturally as the season progresses.

Egbuka is so dynamic in the open field, he’s fun to watch. Hopefully McCord gets his confidence and improves so these receivers aren’t wasted this year.

McCord looks good.

Running game doesn't

Trayanum is 5'11 235 with no fat on him. That's top .0001%

Did we let them score just to be nice?

Trayanum, Williams and Hayden should be getting the carries. If they go out there and waste 15 touches on Henderson next week they could lose to Western Kentucky.

Man, Jack Sawyer is such a disappointment. Been watching him lose 1v1 reps against Youngstown State.

Denzel Burke being “back” would be a huge, huge plus for this team

What about JT?

Feel like both have been kind of disappointing overall in their Buckeye careers outside of the one big game he had.

Oy. This QB situation isn't what we've become used to.

Just gonna have to live with misses like that this season I guess.

Thanks for the thread @Rich - got caught up with work the last two days and didn't have a chance to make one.

I've seen enough of the QB run with Brown. Let him throw it and let the underused backs run it.

I'm gonna say I'm not sounding the alarm on JTT or the pass nrush yet and the reason is in these first two games neither opposing offense has even attempted to throw a long developing pass play yet. They aren't even trying to use that part of the field. It's all three steps and out.

So if that's how teams are gonna play, then that's a win either way for us.
