Game highlights!

The team came close to unraveling offensively a few times when we couldn't hit anything beyond 5 ft. Guys were trying to force shots, started making bad passes, etc.. But Neto kept slowing them down, running the offense, and then taking critical shots if the shot clock got low. After Allen's monster first quarter, Neto is who kept the offense in gear for the rest of the game.

And he played aggressive defense as well.

I'm going to give JBB some credit for putting in Neto and Rubio at the same time. At the time he did that, our offensive been completely stagnant for a while. Even though it didn't help our shooting, the ball movement sped up and that's the point at which we began to reverse the slide.
I was playing around on nba.com and saw that Neto + Rubio had a +200 net rating coming into tonight (like 3 minutes)

JBB post-game interview:

Cedi and LeVert go 0-for-11 on 3's and we win by 28 without Mitchell and Garland. Pretty impressive. That 4th quarter was sick. We start with an 8-point lead and go on a 14-2 run to push it to 20. At that point it's over.

Allen was a monster on the glass with 20 points and 14 boards. Neto did a great job with 14 points, 8 assists, and 4 steals for a +23. He was matched up with Jaden Ivey, the #5 pick in this year's draft, who was a -23. The NBA can be humbling. Neto kicked his butt.

The Pistons were able to hang around through three quarters due to miserable 3-point shooting (started 2-for-15) but once we hit a couple the lead expanded.

We have one more game left against these guys and it's at home in three weeks. If Mitchell and Garland are back I like our chances.

The Sixers lost at Boston so we're a game out of 3rd.

Jarrett Allen post-game interview:

Took my son to his first Cavs game (5 years old). Had no idea Don and Darius wasn't gonna play. I was bummed by that, then ended up pleasantly surprised in the first quarter. It got really ugly in the 3rd. I thought we were gonna give the game away and lose it. We finally got some help from our guards and took control of the game, thanks to Rubio and Neto. Was shocked that we scored over 100. It was starting to look like one of those 88 - 80 score games. Everybody woke the hell up in the 4th quarter. Fun game to go to, and my son enjoyed himself.

Dwane Casey with great complimentary comments on the Cavs. He called our game a playoff-level performance.

Whoa - Cavs really pulled away, in the 4th. Good to see.
