Get Excited Somewhere Else: John Dorsey

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Two takeaways here:

1) This explains why you keep coming back for more of the Browns

2) You not liking one of the best shows in TV history proves there’s no accounting for taste.

It's not that it's a "bad show" per-se. I just don't like the way it leaves me feeling, knowing full well that's the intent,
condescending fuck :chuckle:

So don't count on a WR until day 3, eh? Probably could rule out Barkley too. Minkah as well if they view him as a FS and not a CB. Pass rusher may be an option at 4, after all.

Well, easy to put off drafting a free safety when the previous guy just drafted Eric Berry. Minkah could end up a #1 corner or a free safety. I think he's capable of both, just like Jalen Ramsey.

Eh. The more I look at this draft, the more I like the idea of Barkley. If you add him and Alex Smith alone, that's an offense that could make the playoffs and have an identity. Smith has always done well with a strong running game. I highly doubt he's still there at 4 though. I'd be tempted to take him at 1. I don't like any of these QBs nearly as much as I like Barkley. It's just that we need one so desperately.

Good point. While I like articles that show how he might value certain positions they don’t account for the fact that it’s quite possible at any given pick, there may have been a player he desperately wanted to draft that got picked a few slots before their pick. And that player could have played a position that an article like that asserts is of lower priority to him.

It seems like he'll draft those four positions (qb, lt, #1cb and pass rusher) in the first round two rounds but go after skills positions later. I could see him going after Rashaad Penny and someone like Anthony Miller in the third/fourth.

FS is towards the bottom of the chart in terms of importance, that's what I was going off of.

This draft is LOADED with RBs, no reason to draft Barkley at 4. Just get a position with more scarcity at 4 (or traded down) and use a 2nd or 3rd on a RB.

It's loaded with decent to good running backs, but Barkley is a difference maker. He could have the impact Ezekiel Elliott had in Dallas as a rookie. He's better than Fournette, and look at what he added to Jacksonville.

I hate to say it, but the Raiders are a better fit than the Browns. Mark Davis doesn't want to have any say in football operations at all, I don't even think he gives his barber any suggestions for haircuts. McKenzie and Wolf worked together in Green Bay and would form a great duo as the Oakland chapter plays out with Chucky.
Yeah, but there's still the Gruden versus Hue question...

nevermind.

I don’t understand for the life of me the notion that Barkley is comparable to Zeke and Fournette.

They couldn’t be more dissimilar in their running style.

He doesn’t bring the same level of aggressiveness and downhill running that Fournette does.

Maybe he turns that on in the NFL, but the film doesn’t lie right now.
