Lue will slide Love into the starting rotation, Cedi to the bench (and will hardly play), and Nance will get even less playing time as well.

Anything else would honestly surprise me out of Lue.

No problem with Lebron at the 5 down the stretch with 3 minutes to go, but why Insert Tristan for Nance before that last stretch?

Nance's defense was different than the other two games because he is following Lue's/Coaching staff instructions and not following his own natural defensive instincts. He wasn't once out of position in the prior two games, but last night he was in between spots on the floor, not knowing who and what to cover in PnR plays. I can't put it on him... it's a reoccurrence with the old guys and the new ones.. are they all bad defensively now? someone has to take the blame for this other than the players.

TT still sucks though.

I didn’t say Nance was playing badly I just said he didn’t play well. It’s completely natural to expect new guys to mess up pick and roll coverages in their third game. And I don’t think the biggest culprits in those blown pick coverages were the bigs but the guards like Hood and Hill in particular not switching to the roll man.

Your theory about the coaching staff’s instructions is absurd. The Cavs did the exact same thing yesterday as they did the previous two games - switch a lot. It’s just that the Wizards hit a lot of threes and made some tough plays...it happens. If you are going to give the staff the blame for yesterday’s game then you should give them the credit for the first two games.

The book is out that TT can’t get off the floor to contest shots which leads to the shooter feeling very comfortable .

Nance looked nervous yesterday. He was more up in his head as was Hill, Hood, and Clarkson. They were all thinking too much IMO. It will get better.

Even with that said, Nance should have gotten more minutes. He helped the offense more than TT did. At a point in the game where shots were not going in, it is nice to have an offensive threat at the 5.
