Goodbye Larry Nance Jr.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Lot of good stuff from Lowe on this deal. Couple paragraphs on Nance:

That goes double for Nance, all flare screens, extra passes and box-outs -- helpful little things that don't work as well when you do them for young guys learning the NBA. An executive once told me Nance is one of the only players he has ever seen who is thinking of only one thing every second on the court: What can I do, in this very moment, to help my team win? Nothing else clutters his internal monologue -- no ruminating about points, how long it has been since he shot the ball (he's a little jumper-phobic), or where the party is after the game.

Nance has logged a lot of time as an undersized center; slot shooters around him, and he can screen for LeBron, roll to the rim and rise high for lobs. He and Kevin Love will make for an interesting, high-IQ frontcourt partnership. He can switch across all five positions on defense, though he is not as good as you'd think at staying in front of quick guards.

This guy was born and raised in Northeast Ohio. His Dad was a legend on the team.
He's got to be super motivated to play well, and maybe even raise the level of his game playing with LBJ.

Can't wait to see him fly down the lane in front of his Dad.

I didn't mean it like that... What I meant was that he is probably going to be treated like a god because of his origin whether he is good or bad, but he should still be careful with his wishes because of how we treated IT,Crowder,Rose, Shump and the other misfits. Sure, most of them deserved it like you said, but I don't think other FA's are going to be thrilled playing for us and Lebron after watching this shit show.

Anyways, it was a joke :p

Cool. Fair enough.

Out of that list of players, the only one who probably got too negative of treatment was Crowder.

IT was a bitch, Rose left the team, and Shumpert never actually tried to fit his role and always thought he deserved more (and was always injured when we needed him most).

Otherwise, I think fans are VERY supportive of players. This has just been an uncharacteristically negative season for the Cavs. And, the national media constantly portraying us as awful fans makes it seem worse than it is, I think.

He’ll get a lot of minutes with no Love

I don't think so. Only because Lue now trusts him more than any of the new players. Which, I think, will buy him some time to keep the minutes he has earned.
I hope, but you'd think:

LeBron is the lone heavy minute player we have, followed by I don't know what the fuck. We have a ton of players now and when Love is healthy we are 11 deep, that's not counting buyout options either.

Hill/Clarkson/Jose
JR/Hood/Korver
LeBron/Cedi
Love/Green
TT/Nance

I see Nance Listed at 6-7 but when I watch him play he looks 6-10. Which is it?

Would be fun to see Nance and Cedi on the floor together... 2 guys who is just pure hustle at the same time, sonething we haven't seen with the Cavs for some time... hoping he stays healthy, he gets injured a lot...

He will become a fan favorite quickly - plays the game the correct way. Think they all do - but this kid will be exciting.
We literally replaced all of our shit players with young, athletic players who seem like they will easily and quickly buy in to whatever Lue and LBJ have planned for the second half of the season.

I cannot fucking wait to watch this team. I'm certain we'll struggle for a bit, but I doubt we'll have the same issues related to effort and chemistry.

Your right, after watching the shit we have been for the past month what a breath of fresh air. It may take us awhile to get use to the speed on the court. Love today!!!!!!
