I remain unimpressed.
That Nets team would be hands down the best defensive team in the league today without question…
Look at the footwork, the overall fundamental skill….It’s night and day…
It’s like Jordan batted against a pitcher and LeBron bats against a batting tee… You can literally just throw his 29ppg in today’s game with scores in the 120’s, 130’s— you have essentially 18 guys averaging over 25ppg… back then like 5 or 6…
All these inflated stats are meaningless…
I feel like you and I would have a few beers and do this back and forth for like 3 hours straight. It's an impossible argument, based on different eras, rule enforcement, modern nutritional/recovery treatments, etc. I still say I think LBJ would eat MJ up if they played in the same era... but there is never going to be any way to prove it!
For me, still - Bigger, stronger, better passer and rebounder, more versatile defender, better 3pt shooter = all LeBron.
I also think the "6-0" argument is bogus because it discounts all the times Jordan lost before the finals, the years LeBron dragged rag-tag teams to the finals (2007 and 2018 to be specific) and the years Jordan legit quit the league (could be interpreted as mental weakness).
