Happy Trails George Hill

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
IT would be producing more offensively, even with 2 bad hips.

No love for my man george hill on the second page?! After all these games? Glad this man is producing and contributing to the team on a somewhat consistent basis. Lets hope he keeps it up, hes gonna be vital in the finals (if we make it,which i think we will).

Good point. He's played smart, and well.

Trick is if he and the rest of the the supporting cast can keep it up in Boston.

I'm liking Hill these past two games making plays for himself and others w/o LeBron. I think for some guys it must be intimidating coming in and playing with the GOAT, and I think Hill is over that part now, good to see.

Hill's ball pressure on Rozier and his offensive production has made a huge difference. What I've been impressed by is his composure on offense while being defended by Rozier and Smart, two guys who have created havoc for Bucks and Sixers backcourt but Hill has been unbothered with ZERO turnovers in this series. He just goes wherever he wants, creates a favorable switch then either drives or drops the ball into the post. I hope he's able to bring some of that offensive production on the road because 8 shot attempts in the first two games isn't enough.

Dude always seems so even-keeled and in control. Rarely have I seen him take a bad shot or make the wrong basketball play. Wish he was a little more aggressive on a regular basis instead of it being so spotty. And that 1-3 PnR with LeBron is money.

He's so chill, it's almost like having a mini LBJ on the court. I'm glad Lue finally figured out that Hill needs to run the second unit when LBJ is resting.

When he is good he looks an ideal compliment to other more aggressive players, perhaps it should be when they are good, but when the Cavs need him to be assertive offensively he just does not seem to have that extra gear. Too easy to defend against this team when it is LBJ and Love alone.

But this is George Hill.

This is how he has always been.

There are few games when he is aggressive, and is in general really good.

But there are a lot of games where he is passive as fuck. He has been like this since he got drafted.

You can't expect him to change that all of a sudden. Certainly not at 32 years old.

We should have expected this.

He is just too inconsistent from game to game to be a starting PG for a championship level team. On a $20 million expiring contract, I'd just look to move him in the offseason. He would be ideal as a backup PG but with his contract that isn't in the cards.

I remember someone saying he is a starter version of Delly but at this point I'd rather just have Delly as our starting PG. Delly would impact the game every time he was on the floor, I can't say that about Hill.

George Hill can be a starting PG on a Championship level team.

But he can't be your secondary ball-handler.

That was the case with Pacers as well. Pacers had PG and Lance handling the ball a lot more than Hill.

In the event that LBJ stays in Cleveland they need a PG with the resolve to wave him off and look to make plays himself. That does not mean doing a Clarkson and throwing up rubbish but someone who will look to create, run plays, force LBJ to play off ball, because it has become clear in this playoffs, despite the numbers, that LBJ ball without that second ball handler is too draining.

Who that is I am not sure, but Hill and that contract, not the way.

I couldn't disagree more. For Christ sake, Delly was more consistent than this guy.

I agree I think we need to look elsewhere for a starting PG. We should be in the market for another backup PG with how Clarkson plays. I just don't know if we can move Clarkson for anything in the offseason.

agreed, I'll even go as far as to say we should have kept I.T. That way going into next season we'd have possibly:
I.T
Lebron
Love
Pick or veteran allstar
