Happy Trails George Hill

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
A cap question with Hill's contract. I know JRs contract is a unique one because it can be traded for the whole value in the offseason vs Hills contract can only be traded for the guaranteed value. Could Hill becomes a valuable asset for a team like Philly who could get up to the cap then trade a mininium salary player for Hill which would add 20 million in salary and an big expiring once they guarantee his contact? What is the guarantee date for Hills contract?

I know Hill isn't worth 20 million but he could be a valuable expiring for Philly to build a contender while keeping its core together.

I think if Korver for Delly and the Buck's 1st round pick is realistic compensation. I think the real bad contracts is what we use Hill and JRs contracts on to get higher draft picks.

Who says no?

George Hill to PHX for Ryan Anderson and the MIL 2019 1st (probably mid to late 2020 1st due to protections with some unknowns in MIL this summer).

We essentially buy a FRP for $20 million (not my money haha). And, who knows what that monster expiring can pull us next year.

PHX gets a serviceable PG for the year and opens a ton of space this summer.

With the way Phoenix has looked here as of late, I'd think that they definitely say no.

Looks like they're back to being in no hurry on competing. Josh Jackson has been a dumpster fire, so they undoubtedly need a young 3rd piece to add to Booker/Ayton. I don't see them surrendering anymore 1st round picks after that atrocious deal they did to receive Mikal Bridges last year.

I agree, Hill is basically a 3 and D wing in PG form. He doesn't have the natural passing vision to get Phoenix to play effectively or the consistent attacking to pair well with Booker.

I actually think the Bucks are more of a natural fit for Hill. Hill would be the second or third ball handler on the floor basically at all times. He gives a normal sized PG with good length to defend when Bledsoe or Brogdon are struggling like they did with Rozier last year. He can play SG for them which they seem to need.

Hill used to roast the Cavs consistently. He just seems to play joylessly out there, even in the playoffs.

Agree. Hill would be awesome on the Bucks.

Hill can take minutes from Harrison and Hood. Preferably all of Harrison's minutes and some of Hoods. I don't really care if Zicic falls completely out of the rotation either. Sexton and Nwaba need to keep their minutes.

You can definitely yank Clarkson very fast if he isn't on.

I actually liked what coach said tonight. He gets him out of there when he is not playing the right way. He mentioned going one on 3. They dared Clarkson to beat them with his passing and he drove right into several guys a few times .

I thought this was a bad game for Clarkson. His passes weren't on time

George Hill getting hurt is the best possible thing that could have happened append for the Cavs and via inheritance, Sexton.
Gives Sexton more PT. I get that Hill could have mentored Sexton and showed him how to run the P n R but I think getting playing time is more important than watching someone make plays while standing behind the 3 pt line (Even where Sexton isn't effective yet).

Thank you George!
