Hard Knocks

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
It doesn't hit until the following morning. Hard Knocks is the only show that does this.
Scratch that. This must be the first season it is launched live. It's a regular Cleveland miracle.

Don’t @ me, but this is why I’m glad Joe Thomas is gone. Yes, he mentally put in the work and was trying to preserve his body, but you can’t have your best players getting “veteran” days every week, especially when you have a young team. You've got to set the tone that you play through your shit and try to get better.

Interesting that every single coach in the room seemed to think Hue coddles the players and doesn’t practice them enough to get better... the whole “preventative rest” theory.

I tend to trust Haley on this. He just came from Pittsburgh.

Unrelated, it really seems by the way it was presented that Josh Gordon will be back very soon and they aren’t nearly as worried as it seems in noncommittal public statements.

Loved that Josh texted Hue from his care to let him know he was thinking of him, thank him for supporting him, and to tell him he’s sorry to hear about his mother. Josh has problems, but I actually think he’s a decent guy.

I don’t know how anyone could keep themselves from loving Bake and Juice. These two guys really seem to bring the energy.

Great episode. Introduction episode is usually the worst one, too. Next week will be a wild episode with all of the elements from this week.

The Josh Gordon stuff was all super positive. Good to hear. Jarvis Landry is a fucking madman in the best ways possible.

Damn good show. First time I ever watched Hard Knocks. Really enjoyed it.

I thought last season was weak, but they're otherwise all amazing. The figureheads weren't intriguing. Koetter or whatever was bland. You need the coach and GM to have good face time and have interesting storylines. Dorsey is obvious, but it's clear Hue is going to butt heads so that adds to it. On top of that, the Browns just have more interesting personalities than Tampa Bay did.

I felt sorry for Hue with what he has had to go through with his mother and brother passing away, but nothing in that episode made me confident in his ability as an NFL head coach whatsoever.

He seems woefully in over his head.

Also my first time watching Hard Knocks. That was the most entertaining hour I’ve spent in front of a TV in a loooooong time (not counting Thrones).

I kept checking the clock because I didn’t want it to end. Such incredible content.

Kirksey comes off as a leader too, and Nassib a future financial planner.

Really, really, really impressed with Jarvis. His attitude, his ability, the way he handles his business. He is as pro as you get.

Oh and Hue comes off like an idiot. Really lost even more confidence. Seems he is over his head and constantly has to remind people he is the boss.

On the flip side, couldn't have been more impressed with Dorsey and how he handles himself. I was against getting rid of Sashi, but Dorsey is the boss, is a GM and just acts like it. That type of confidence is contagious and important for a team.

Agreed. Hard Knocks is typically a very good show but I didn’t even watch a episode last year... The Bucs are just not an interesting team in any way.
