Hearthstone

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Very shocking that they are doing this before Blizzcon.

Blizzard have also shown they are completely incapable of nerfing a card within reason. Every time they change a card it becomes totally unplayable.

I wonder if a better nerf would've just been to only give charge to minions that remain at 3 attack or below. Would've removed it's use on Berserker and any cruel taskmaster or inner rage spawned patrons. Would've taken the edge off the deck without totally killing it.

Not that I'm sad to see patron go away. Hasn't had a lot of effect on my sections of the ladder, but it makes tournaments really boring to watch.

Another good streamer is Amaz. He, compared to Forsen, almost always explains what cards he's going to play and what he thinks the opponent wants to achieve. Very informative but at the same time a very chill stream, tbh.

This emote is the only thing needed to describe Amaz.:gfight:

I watched Amaz open 420 packs the day TGT came out.... Work was really slow that day....

Been watching justsaiyan a lot recently. He's a good to learn from.

Also, WhyTF have I faced four Mill Rogues in the last day or two?? God that deck is infuriating. I thought it went away.

So since I'm mostly new to online games, I never dealt much with BM'ing and getting called "fag" by 12 year olds. Happened twice today, and I thought I'd be so bummed by it, but I just found it hilarious. These dudes who friend request you right after the game and are so irate, it just blows my mind how anyone can be that mad at a video game. I just told them they were super nice and thanked them for thinking of me. Which just made them more mad. :chuckle:

One was a control warrior who was just furious that I was playing secrets pally, how dare I of course. The other was a patron warrior who got mad that I blocked his combo and he lost. Control warrior dude even did the "message than unfriend", then he waited no joke 10 minutes, and did it again. Which means he didn't play a single game in that time since I was still his previous opponent, and he raged so hard that he had to come back and tell me more. :chuckle:

Just hilarious. It shocks me that these people exist.

Also, I just don't understand the hate toward Secrets Pally. It was a broken deck for about the first 2 or 3 weeks when it was new, but now everyone knows how to play the secrets, and from what I can tell, it doesn't have any unusual high win rate. I was keeping track for awhile, and I have around a 56% win rate against Pally. And a little higher win rate playing as that deck. So that tells me that if you are losing constantly to the deck, you might not be quite as good as you think. I mean sure, you're gonna lose somewhere around half your games to it, but that's true of most archetypes out there depending on matchups.

I feel bad when someone adds me after a game and intends to be nice, I always have something snarky to say because most people that add you are going to rage at you.

The problem I have with secret paladin is how much you are able to think your deck and ensure that you will have a good hand as long as you draw Mysterious Challenger. The tempo swing from play 5 cards at once is also pretty insane. It is just generally a very annoying deck, that is also quite good.

Soooo... League of Explorers is basically awesome. The adventure itself was fun, but the cards are even better in practice than I thought during the preview.

I've built an Echo Reno Mage and Reno Warrior, and have only lost a few games. Gonna try him in Priest soon too. Also Djinni is a ton of fun, and Jeweled Scarab is incredible for setting up an early curve.

But not only that, everyone seems to be trying new decks. I played probably 20 or so games last night and only saw 2 recognizable decks. Even /r/hearthstone seems excited, which is saying something.

Can't wait for the other wings to come out.

I'm just waiting for Museum Curator to come out, so I finally have a solid 2 drop for my Priest deck.

Or in other words: Fuck Mad Bomber!

Soooo... This is basically gigantic news....

Adding formats to Hearthstone

They are introducing formats! Now you can rank in either Standard (cards released in most recent calendar year + basic and classic) or Wild (all cards).

Plus more deck slots!

Pretty massive change. I like it.

Oh, and incoming balance changes to several basic and classic cards. (FoN/Roar pls)
