Agreed. Feels like the game will never grow stale again, or at least not for very long stretches. This is incredible and I could not be more happy.
Gonna need some replacements, but yeah should still be good. Need to see the new expansion first.Do you guys think Renolock will still be a thing in the new standard format?
Cause I really love playing it, it's my go-to deck right now.

But I fed hope so. It's such a super fun deck.
That's more or less the list I was running, minus Rag. But I've been playing around with the Leeroy / Faceless combo one recently. It's been pretty fun.
And of course, I never played Zoo until, like, this week and I'm having a blast. Aaaaand it's basically all going away with Standard.
Hoping to get more time to play next month. Been super busy with side work, and been playing so much Heroes of the Storm, I topped out at Rank 10 this month. REally looking forward to the new expansion and a new meta to work with. I've basically only been playing enough games to get my daily quests.
Oh, I hate it too. But was having one of those "If you can't beat em, join em" kind of moments. Just playing around with Secret Pally and now Zoo, two decks I've largely either avoided or walked away from, just since they're going away. Really looking forward to seeing things shake up soon.I also tried the Leeroy/Faceless combo. I actually tried more or less all possible Renolock versions there are:
Demon Renolock, OTK versions with Leeroy or Arcane Golem, late game versions with Malganis and Jaraxxus...
But I have a few problems with this type of reno-versions:
OTK Reno decks basically can insta-concede against control priests/warriors. You basically have no chance at all in the late game.
The demon version is very synergy heavy. I don't like that. You play Voidcaller, Doomguard, Malganis and Jaraxxus. Stat-wise, Voidcaller is a pretty weak 4 mana minion and you can/should only play him, if you have another Demon in your hand. Doomguard is also an unplayable card mid game. You can only play him via Voidcaller or if you finish off your opponent.
So this led to me playing my "own" type of Reno-deck - ok against aggro, strong against midrange/control, bad against OTK.
Regarding Zoo: I hate this deck. But yeah, no surprise that you're having a blast with it. Strong deck in the current meta.
Maybe but by the end of the year, we will have 3 active expansions and 3 active adventures, and from what blizzard has been hinting at, the next expansion is going to be huge. So I think once we get into the full swing of Standard, we are going to have even more cards in play than we do right now. I also wouldn't be shocked to see a few more cards in the new expansion have that Highlander mechanic since it has become so popular, which should lead to more synergy in Reno decks.I think Reno decks in general are going to get a lot worse because we just now got to the point where there are enough 'decent enough' cards to build a singleton deck.
Welcome back. It's probably as fun now as it ever was, and about to get better. More on that in a sec. Background:
I played this game for a little while, leveled up every hero to at least 10. Didn't get much further than that before I put it down.
Now I'm getting back into it. Is it worth it to spend actual money for the adventures (Curse of Naxxramas, Blackrock Mountain, League of Explorers)? What exactly do I get out of them? How are they different from the expansions?

Adventures are basically just mini-expansions. Smaller card sets (30-40 cards), and you get all of them when you buy it. You just have to unlock each one by beating a level or a wing of the adventure. They have also been some of the best cards in the game.
If you're gonna buy any, I'd start with League of Explorers, and then Blackrock Mountain. Almost every card from LoE sees play, or at least a big portion of it.
Naxx is probably the best adventure, but its getting phased out. Starting in about a month, Hearthstone is implementing Formats (they are called Standard and Wild).
Standard will be the main mode, and will be what all normal ladder play and competitively play will be. It will include only the expansions and adventures that have been released within the last 2 calendar years, plus the entire original Classic and Basic sets. So that means that cards from Goblins vs Gnomes and Naxxramas are no longer going to be allowed in main play starting next month.
Wild will be the mode where every single card ever can be played. So you can still use your Naxx and GvG cards in that, it's just probably going to be a lesser played format.
They did this so that new players (or really players like you I guess), can come back to the game and not feel like they have to buy 3 expansions and 4 adventures to catch up. You can just focus on the newest cards and still feel like you have relevant decks.
Hope that was helpful.
