Hey guess what... Lakers Suck !!

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Re: LMAO@Lakers Fans

And that's how you know you won the argument, "well, RINGS, yeah I have RINGS!"

Yeah, that "rings" argument doesn't hold any legitimacy as far as I'm concerned. If it did, then Robert Horry is over twice as good as Kobe since Kobe only has 3 rings, whereas Horry has 7. Rings are a TEAM accomplishment, not an individual accomplishment.

like kenny the JET said there are 3 lies: Lies, Lies, and Stats, Lebron may have better stats but Kobe is the better player

So you're quoting Kenny Smith as an authority on statistics. Wow, you have to be desperate to use him as a source. I'm curious, just what does Kenny Smith know about statistics other than the fact that his own stats sucked? How else does he suggest we compare various players if not through mathematical totals and averages? Do we go simply by the opinions of players and coaches? What about media members and analysts who study and track players as the key component of their job? Do their opinions count?

Apparently statistics don't mean much to you... which isn't surprising since you're a Kobe fan and since the stats show that Lebron is BY FAR a more dominating, more complete player.

Re: LMAO@Lakers Fans

Kobe handles the ball constantly, don't even try to tell me how often he is off the ball in the triangle, just look at the Knicks game where he essentially went 1 v. 5 every time he went up the floor. Our system has been taking LeBron off the ball more this year than in the past, now we have a point guard who can run things, we also occasionally play LBJ at the 4 which takes him off the ball. Sure we run the LeBron Iso sometimes, but every team with an offensive talent like him runs an Iso, even the Lakers do it with Kobe.

Now you attack the rebounding, that's like saying "who cares if Kobe shoots better, he's a guard." Problem being that LeBron shoots better than Kobe does as well, also the Cavs are one of the best rebounding teams in the NBA just like the Lakers, so why should LeBron rebound?

:chuckles: I'll be nice and just ignore that part.

Yes LeBron has had his struggles this year, I concede that fact, however part of the problem was the rest of the team being ice cold offensively, LeBron loses faith in his teammates when they aren't knocking down shots. So then he tries to do too much which leads to games like these.

Now lets look at an overall body of work, before the Gasol trade last year, what exactly was Kobe accomplishing? Nothing, he was getting so frustrated that he asked to be traded, that is until he had an all-star F/C dropped into his lap. He couldn't accomplish anything without Shaq either, he needs an All-Star big man to be successful at all.

LeBron however, just 2 years ago, managed to make it to the NBA finals, with perhaps the worst ever supporting cast. Larry Hughes, Sasha Pavlovic, LBJ, Drew Gooden, and Z? Hughes, who now seems to be fitting in with the Knicks oh so well, Sasha who comes off the bench if he's lucky, and Drew "which guy should I be guarding?" Gooden. Sure it didn't end well for the Cavs, but the point is that LeBron is able to make his teammates better, and do more with less than Kobe ever has been able to.

Before the Gasol trade and Bynum Injury the Lakers were in 1st place in the west, so dont say that aquiring Gasol made the lakers get the 1 seed in the west, So big Z is a scrub, and Gooden cant score, Hughes cant guard anyone, and Bobbie sucks at 3's, shoot i would prefer them over Odom, Walton, Smush, and Kwame

ROFL.......

Yet he rips LeBron when LeBron never really had quality guys... Much less the caliber of a Prime Shaq, Glen Rice, Rick Fox, Derek Fisher, Ron Harper, Robert Horry, Brian Shaw etc...

You see what happens when LeBron just gets one more really talented player next to him (Mo)... I couldn't imagine what LeBron would do with a 26, 27 year old Shaquille O'neal...:chuckles:

82-0 ?

Re: LMAO@Lakers Fans

Lebron wouldnt have won with shaq on the lakers because they were running the triangle and Lebron Aames cant shoot the ball so he would have been useless

OK GUYS I HAVE TOO GO, ILL COME BACK TO ARGUE LATER, I HAVE CLASS NOW

They would run the triangle about as much as they do now... Which is very little...

like kenny the JET said there are 3 lies: Lies, Lies, and Stats, Lebron may have better stats but Kobe is the better player
I believe Kobe is a more skilled player than LeBron... But, his career achievements don't have much to do with why he's better...

his "intro to computers" class must be over.

Then explains why he shoots a higher percentage than Kobe Bryant?

Re: LMAO@Lakers Fans

To even compare Kobe (age 30) to Lebron (age 24) is ridiculous...

Kobe is indeed the best SCORER in the NBA and one of the top defensive players in the NBA, there is no question about that. The man has won 3 rings (albeit with the help of Shaq and a very savy coach) and the man has several individual accolades to credit his talent.

Now, strip all of the above away from Kobe and just look at him as a basketball player. The man is as talented as any and has fully developed his skillset. In otherwords Kobe has reached the peak of his potential.

Now we look at Lebron. He doesn't have the individual accolades that Kobe does, he has one finals appearence (albeit got swept by a veteran team). He is not, nor has ever been, on a team that has even close to the talent that Kobe has (and had during the 3 peat era).

Strip all of that away and look at Lebron from a talent perspective. The man is 24 years of age and is already challenging Kobe for the title of the best player in the game. Lebron has yet to fully develop any real facet of his game compared to Kobe whose game is fully developed. You (redslakers24) say that Lebron would only average 5 assists in the triangle offense. That maybe true, however do you HONESTLY believe Kobe would average 7 assists with the group of guys Lebron has been playing around? I don't believe he would.

Now we come to the ever popular ring arguement. "Kobe has 3 rings, how many does Lebron have?". If only I had a penny for every time I've heard this. Yes Kobe has 3 rings with Shaq in his prime and a very savy, verteran head coach in Phil Jackson. Yes Kobe has 3 rings but Robert Horry has 9 rings, does that make Horry better then Kobe? I didn't think so, this arguement is irrelevant.

Bottom line is we have ALREADY seen what Kobe can do, and we have YET to see what Lebron can do. Let's wait until Lebron is 30 before we compare the two.

Peel Kobe's foreskin from over your eyes and you'll see what Lebron is capable of.

Z isn't a scrub, but he's no Shaq or Gasol. Gooden can't defend, that's his problem, oh, and he's an idiot. Hughes chucked something awful. Boobie was a rookie and wasn't gonna make a difference in a series against the best team in the NBA, he had one good game because the Pistons had all eyes on LeBron after Game 5.

Re: LMAO@Lakers Fans

The "rings" argument is very lame. I'm amazed when people use that argument.

You need a TEAM to win it all. Jordan didn't win any until he had a good team around him with a good system.

The lakers had shaq inside, the most dominating force to ever play the game. Then you add the shooters outside with a good system including a very good Kobe Bryant. It's obvious why they won.

The way I always look at their situation is like this:
Could you have replaced Shaq with any other center????
The answer is HELL NO.

Could you have replaced Kobe with another guard??
I think you could have, with the likes of a Allen Iverson, T-Mac (was healthy when younger), Vince Carter. I think any of those guys could have done what Kobe did for the Lakers.

We can't say Lebron will get rings until he gets a more compete team.

PIP basically summed it up best, look at Lebron with one really talented player in Mo Williams.

What happens if Lebron gets a legitimate post up guy also who is capable of averaging 20 and 10?

When comparing players, rings should never be part of the equation. Comparing their skillsets and strengths is the way to go.

Re: LMAO@Lakers Fans

ok so its clear to me u didnt see the games clearly, look at how many games kobe closed out during those years, in the final minutes who had the ball who took control, it was kobe while shaq was fouled out or on the bench because he couldnt hit free throws, watch every single game and tell me who closed out every game it was kobe

Stop rewriting history...I'm starting to wonder if you were even alive during the 99-00 Finals. Shaq had one of the greatest Finals in the history of the NBA. Shaq fouled out of only 1 game and that was in the final seconds. In fact, Kobe averaged 4 fouls per game in the postseason while Shaq only averaged 2.9. Shaq sat less than 1 minute in half of the games.

Look at what Shaq did in the Finals, he was a complete freaking animal.

Game 1
Shaq 44 mins / 43 pts / 19 rebs / 4 assists / 3 blocks
Kobe 38 mins / 14 pts / 3 rebs / 5 assists / 2 blocks

Game 2
Shaq 46 mins / 40 pts / 24 rebs / 4 assists / 3 blocks
Kobe 9 mins / 2 pts / 1 reb / 4 assists / 1 block

Game 3
Shaq 47 mins / 33 pts / 13 rebs / 1 assist / 2 blocks
Kobe - Did not play

Game 4
Shaq 47 mins / 36 pts / 21 rebs / 1 assist / 2 blocks
Kobe 47 mins / 28 pts / 4 rebs / 5 assists / 1 block

Game 5
Shaq 42 mins / 35 pts / 11 rebs / 3 assists / 2 blocks
Kobe 37 mins / 8 pts / 5 rebs / 3 assists

Game 6
Shaq 47 mins / 41 pts / 12 rebs / 1 assist / 4 blocks
Kobe 45 mins / 26 pts / 10 rebs / 4 assists / 2 blocks

Postseason stats
Shaq 44 mins / 31 pts / 15 rebs / 3 assists / 57% FG / 33.1 efficiency
Kobe 39 mins / 21 pts / 4 rebs / 4 assists / 44% FG / 18.9 efficiency

Shaq carried Kobe and the Lakers to a ring that season...

Re: LMAO@Lakers Fans

I think my favorite Kobe moment was after Shaq had been gone for a while... 2006 I believe... game 7 vs. the Suns, and Kobe just completely QUIT on his team. Or maybe it was when he demanded a trade not even two years ago because he didn't like that there wasn't enough talent around him.

When life gives Kobe lemons, he complains and wants to be traded.

When life gives LeBron lemons, he makes lemonade.... then tells everyone to "stop lookin' at my lemonade", then takes that lemonade to the finals. And gets heat from the media for that somehow?

Ok I just couldn't resist using the lemonade quote that I had almost forgot about.
