I say keep him. He is a good investment for next year.

He's on a one year deal
I think what bums me out the most about this is we didn’t even get a chance to see what this team could look like with Bogut manning the paint for us.
We don’t even know what the potential could have been for our team with Bogut setting dirty screens for us, and as fans we were robbed of that experience. It’ll just be another “what if”.
Yup.
Even the play he got hurt on, was sort of him trying to be slightly dirty sticking his leg out.
We needed somebody like that with a little bit of nasty in them. Right now guys just waltz down the lane with no resistance.

So why haven't we signed Sanders already, we need to get him into game shape and give him as many reps with the team as possible like asap.
I know.
Keep him to show loyalty. Hopefully, that will entice him to come back for cheap.
Cavs to bring in someone after the road trip according to McMenamin.
Not weird at all. What on earth makes you think it does any good at all to bring in a new guy in the middle of a road trip? Just throw him out on the floor during a live NBA game with no practices or meetings? That's weird, I wonder whats the reasoning behind this? You don't have many games left in the regular season and you need to use any game you can get right now.
If its Sanders maybe they want him to practice with the team first?
