Hue Jackson and Todd Haley Fired

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I'm at this point.

i hope he succeeds and we all eat our words.

BUT...do I think it'll happen? no.

But we don't have a choice.

If I dare make this comparison? The relationship seems to remind me of Belichick and Modell. Modell just kept refusing to fire the guy in spite of just...flat out cutting everyone left and right.

This isn't mean't to be positive in comparison to Belichick and Jackson, but rather to compare how bizarrely stubborn Haslam is and how that compares to Modell.

The only *possible* silver lining I can take out of Hue returning is that Kizer did leave a ton of yards on the field with inaccuracy and slow eyes.

Hue screwed him over repeatedly with his schemes, but I guess someone more capable could Hue proof this thing.

Browns lost the Senior Bowl. When is Hue getting fired?

Haslam doesn't want to spend money for another coach.

That and Peter King told him to not fire him because "We fire too many coaches".

Hue can go now. I was hoping they were keeping him just to stretch things past the Senior Bowl.

Wait what? I thought it was the last 2 places teams coach it?

Typically it’s the two teams with the worst records that did not make coaching chances.

If you believe the rumors, the Senior Bowl people told the NFL they didn’t want the Browns back because they did such a poor job last year.

They are usually give them preference if they return. But the team can decline or the committee can allow other teams coach.

Strange that Houston gets a shot, with no 1st or 2nd round pick.

Those reasons are trash. I don't care if you, Matt fucking Miller of scouting website "X", liked it. It's about the worst teams getting back to the middle of the pack to promote the parity the league puffs its chest about regularly. Thanks a ton, Phil Savage.

Your consternation seems completely misplaced. There are 31 other teams trying to get a look at these players as well. If the practice is run horribly, how are those teams supposed to gauge the worth of a specific player(s)? Everyone knows in exhibitions like the Senior Bowl, practice tends to reveal more than the actual game. If the practice sucks, it's doing everyone a disservice.

Given what this staff has done through 2 years, I'm inclined to believe anyone else until they prove otherwise.

I have no doubt the practices were awful. Awful coaches run awful practices from my experience.
