Hue Jackson and Todd Haley Fired

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I’m not an apologist or anything but if we are going to bash the guy for not having an offensive coordinator last season, I don’t see how we can bash the shit out of him for hiring a proven, good coordinator and leaving him alone to do his job.

Everything he says is going to be twisted to make him sound dumb, but that’s a sensible sentiment to me and I haven’t any issue with it.

Nobody is bashing him for that. It's just more evidence that he is utterly useless.

I want to agree/move on and admire your ability to be so level headed about the situation, but there is still a large segment of the fanbase who are still stinging from the past 2 years, myself included.

There is simply no excuse for the level of ineptitude we've had to witness over that time, and he's right at the top of the accountability chain. He's said so himself, and even if it was 'I have to talk to the media' BS, it's the truth.

His in game management, the botched QB situation, just general bad decision making has cost us several wins, and it's hard to separate that from the upcoming season even with new faces in the building and on the coaching staff. The undermining of Sashi in the media. idiotic challenges or non challenges. Just so many blunders on his record.

The good news is, there is no reason this team shouldnt be much improved, and if so, great. But if the same sloppy play, in game mistakes, and general Hue stuff remains, Dorsey will get his wish and he'll be gone.

Well said. I almost wish he was fired just so I dont have to hear the groaning more so than the fact he sucks.

You should wish he was fired because he's a horrendous football coach, not because people complain that he's a horrendous football coach.

It’s almost as if you didnt read that post you quoted...but I get it... we need to bitch about Hue more.

Exactly.

There is literally zero excuse this year.

If the guy blows, he’s gone. Period. We all know this. If he wins, then great. Can we please see which way it plays out? It will solve itself very soon believe it or not.

Hue is an idiot and should have been fired this offseason.

But, that said....

-many/most NFL coaches neither call the plays on offense or defense. So our current set up within the coaching staff is but rare or an exception, historically or n the modern day NFL.

-calling the plays is a long part of the year long process of offensive philosophy and design. That Hue is not teaching the install of Haley’s offense or calling the plays does not mean that Hue, Haley, and other offensive members of the staff do not meet and discuss overall principles, philosophies, and play designs for the offense through out the course of the year, offseason and in season.

He said Haley has full autonomy over the offense.

That’s simply terrible. As a head coach it should be a collaborative effort when it comes to the system you run. You don’t have to call plays, but there needs to be work from both sides.

Hue said that he and Todd speak all the time and he’s very respectful of the things Hue likes to do and see in the offense.

Other than that, he needs to be hands-off for this offense to be successful.

You don’t want too many cooks in the kitchen.

I don’t like Hue at all, but what else would you prefer he do?

There’s something “simply terrible” in this post, but it has nothing to do with how Hue is keeping himself from meddling. In fact, I bet it’s hard for him to let Haley do his job when he’s called plays himself for years. I give him kudos for that.

Interesting take from the guy who insisted that Jackson would never in a million years accept a strong offensive coordinator, let alone cede total control. I don't think there is a single thing Jackson could do or say that would meet your approval. I'd love to see this team somehow fluke their way into a super bowl just to see how far people would bend over backwards to find fault with anything and everything Jackson does or says even in the face of success.

Sure there is - I've said it before.

He could say "I quit."

And I'm still rooting against this team until he's gone. I despise him.

For you Twitter noobs, Hue has a protected account on Twitter. This guy, Jordan Zirm, took a screenshot of Hue's tweet this morning.

Unless he's doing it in cement overshoes, I don't care.

This fucker waits until June to jump into the Lake...

A nice summer afternoon at the beach! Yeah, suck it Hue! That'll show you!

Anyone familiar with Lake Erie knows just going near it is punishment enough
