Hands down the worst trade I've ever seen in my life. This Philly team just made an East team BETTER!

Simmons is a better fit next to Durant/Kyrie anyway, and let's not even mention the fact they handed the Nets Seth Curry also who absolutely helps the Nets. Drummond can provide good backup mins off the bench downlow.

Horrific, horrific trade for Philly.

They're spending SO much to get rid of Ben. Not sure if Harden is extending right now or not, but as is he can walk!

Agreed, They kept over asking for the return on a Simmons trade.. they wanted outlandish pieces and picks back


And the end game was that THEY ended up drastically overpaying by trading Simmons away hahahahaha


Morey has to be one of the worst GM's the NBA has ever seen. But he's "aNaLyTiCaL" so they overhype the clown.

Because of James Harden, the Brooklyn Nets have been fortified. For this season, the Cavs have to deal with his foul grifting bullshit for 4 more games.

I respectfully disagree with your take. Ben Simmons was worth ZERO to Philadelphia….Zero. So in essence, they traded Seth Curry (albeit having a solid year) and Andre Drummond ( a backup C who while being useful in Philly was reviled when he was in Cleveland) and 2 picks (with protections that will basically turn into 2nd rounders).
Whether or not it works in Philly, I’m certain that Harden will be engaged and has already opted in for next season. Morey is the GOAT. Period. Who knows how long the Embiid in healthy prime championship MVP form will be around, but he needed to do something to maximize the opportunity and he did.
Moreover, who in the world knows what the Nets are getting in Simmons. In full game shape, he was questionable at best and couldn’t shoot worth a damn. Add to that his mental state? He still is seeing a therapist to get ready to play ! Plus, there are rumors that he’s not vaccinated!SMH.

A bit of semantics to say he is worth zero. With respect to the 2021-22 NBA season, he is worth zero. However he is a player on their roster who has trade value and it was Morey's job to use that trade value to help the 2021-22 team (and beyond). Did he improve them for this year? Yes, a bit. Did he improve them enough to say Morey maximized what he reasonably could have received for this asset? Hell no.
