If Sarus signs, does Anderson start?

I believe Saras is a virtual lock to be a Cavalier. All signs point that direction. If we got Redd or Allen, we would need defense over shooting, and would prob get Daniels. But since Hughes is a defensive stud and we need a shooter, Saras is coming. Daniels would be more expensive too! Saras will play defense. You play defense with heart and hustle, and that is one of Saras' great qualities. Mike Brown will develop a great system.

How many NBA players could go over to Europe, win 3 consecutive Euroleague titles, and be MVP? Not Daniels, not even Hughes. And Saras will not demand a huge contract. He will succeed, greatness will translate to the NBA.

And since I'm assuming 4 starters to be Saras, Hughes, LeBron, and Z, who all can score, wee need a PF who will simply rebound, play defense, and do the dirty work. And who better to start than the Wild Thing....Anderson Varejao!!! This is a perfect role for him. Gooden is better off the bench and who knows if he'll even be around. This is my prediction for our starting 5 next season!!! E Conf Finals?!!

Why post that he is coming if there are no new signs then there were 2 weeks ago, Anderson won't start they will have Drew or whoever we deal for Drew start, I'm actually getting worried about Sarunas signing if he really wanted to start and play alongside his friends I think it would have happened or shown some more encouraging signs. Thanks for getting my hopes up next time don't put a topic that is untrue, I really thought I was going to click on this and see a link where he agreed or something..

There is truth that he wants to start, and wants to play with friends, but If he really wanted to play for us don't you think we'd hear a lot more by now? Other then the cavaliers seem interested in lithuanian point guard Sarunas Jasikevicius he was teh best man at z's wedding.

Sometimes you have to believe in something before it happens! If all we were to do here was talk about what actually happens, where's the fun in that? Spectulation abounds on message boards, and my speculation is based on solid fact. We need a shooter, a point, Z's his best friend. I thought it was a great post, and what yall think about Anderson starting.

Anderson has stated that he is ready to start also. And Terry Pluto has expressed his feelings on the situation. He said that Anderson would be an ideal fit at starting PF because we need someone next to Z that will clean glass and play D.

Anderson is all over the place when he plays. My only concern with him starting is that he will probably end up being in foul trouble before the half.

i just hit up sarunas on my cell---- he said yeah he will sign with the cavs.. so it's COMFIRMED

i will now call the pacers and let them know they are out of the running..

my minutes are running low, so i hope i don't get stuck on the phone with larry bird-- that guy will talk your ear off you know how he is

donnie and i go way back-- when i was living in los angeles and they were playing the pacers in the finals-- i was at game 6 in the staples center- donnie and i hit it off.. i tried to explain to him that trading anotnio davis for jonathan bender was an error in judgement..

he told me i was crazy-- and that bender was the next great one... "I'M CRAZY" ?

In all seriousness that was a good deal Davis had a max contract lol, and Bender was 7 foot could shoot 3's block and much more another sad case of the Dajuan Wagneritis, great talent all the potential in the world...glass body. Bender is still only 24 though..

24 and still with a glass body-- never played a whole season, is always on the bench in street clothes-and can only shoot 3's..

if he would bulk up, he could become like one of my favorites ("BIG SMOOTH" SAM PERKINS)

antonio davis made an all star team that year (or the next year)-- averaged a double double..

he would have helped the pacers in that finals.. especially game 4 in overtime when KB8 kept driving the lane..

but hey i was living in LA at the time... so i was (lakers baby!!!!!!!! yeah)

As far as I'm concerned Jasikevicius will sign with the Cavaliers..... when the Cavaliers decide to do it.

I think the Cavaliers are having some reservations about Sarunas's ability to defend at the NBA level, although I don't think they should.

spurs and pacers want him.. there is not a better ringing endorsement then that.. if they're having reservations ? then they need to call those organizations and ask them why they're so high on him..

at this point it should be a no brainer..
