Iman Shumpert: Gone! Thank God!

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
According to McMenamin, Shumpert has also asked to be traded...

:chuckle:
Kyrie was his best friend on the team I think. Might have been the guy who wanted to see Kyrie on his own carrying at team.

Either way I don't think he fits on this team anymore. Crowder, JR, and Jeff Green are going to be our wing defenders. I think Lue casted him as the PG defender last year and he couldn't offer much else in terms of helping the team. I think there are better PG/SG defenders that can provide either ball handling or consistent offense of some sort.

In pretty much a contract year for him, it's best to move Shump for someone else. It's only going to cause problems if he is stuck on the bench all season. Shump shouldn't have been put in alot of the positions he was last year and in the end I think it hurt him and the team. We would have been better off if Shump could have just been a 3 and D player all year. He grew some bad habits from handling the ball and guarding smaller players.

Poor Shump.. probably thinks he deserves to start after that summer Drew league performance.
Well I said yesterday the Cavs have too many players and will have to trade at least 2-3..well first salvo is shot from Shump himself..ship him for a PG or a draft pick.

I just hope we don't dump him for nothing. We can't have crowder be our only defender.

the only thing that worries me about this report is just how bad the lockerroom might be.

I mean, Irving asking to get traded and Shumpert a year after instagram Vegas parties. If you step back, you also get all the weird ups and downs and general lethargic play in the regular season and in some of the playoffs, the front office turnover, all the James leaving reports (yeah, I know, par for the course on that one), the rumors of Butler being told not to come here.

From a basketball standpoint, Shumpert is clearly expendable. His decision making and streaky play leaves a ton to be desired. I just worry that the question right now is: who on the Cavs has his teammates back?

Hoping the lockeroom was not too bad, Shump was Irving's best friend from what I have read so hope it ends with those two.
