I'm more than fine with IT being a hired gun in April, May, June.. He's not gonna be a Cavalier around this time next year anyways... A handful of games in April 10-12 games in may and 7 in June...

5 in June. Let's handle this thing fairly quickly, I can't take the stress.

http://nba.nbcsports.com/2017/09/08/report-isaiah-thomas-hip-injury-more-than-just-torn-labrum/

"One source with direct knowledge of Thomas’ hip condition told The Athletic last week that he is dealing with more than just a tear. Some of those secondary issues in the hip he has played with for years now, such as a loss of cartilage and some arthritis, are complicating his healing process.

“No one has any idea how quickly this will heal or if it even will heal at all,” the source said. “It’s hard to predict.”

YIKEEEEEEEEES

Damn worse than people thought, loss of cartilage & arthritis, not a good combo if you include the torn labrum

Don't understand the thought process and decision making by IT and the Boston staff, don't understand it at all. He should've had surgery months ago, this reeks of incompetence.

Now there's a chance this shit could drag out for a very long time and nobody knows how and when he'll come back? will he be the same player? could the injury reaggravate itself after he comes back and he'll be out for the year?

I gotta questions IT's decision making on this one, what did he think if he buries his head in the sand for a summer the injury was just going to magically disappear?
He could've been close to being cleared to play already if he had surgery right away.

He cost himself a shit ton of money choosing this route.

Good luck with that

The surgeon will make it known he's damaged goods

IT doesn't want that. He has the love for the money

Yeah maybe so. I would rather have him close to 100% than have him reinjure that hip in the playoffs next year. Whatever though. I wish he had gotten cut open the day after the ECF.

Maybe he has an advanced phobia of going under the knife? :doh (31):

Case study of how not to handle yourself when expecting a max
1. Don't go about declaring your intention to 'get paid' a year before it's due
2. If you're going to do so then be sure to at least get medical clearance from a physician.
3. Does your GM know about any underlying degenerative conditions? If so refer to step 1 to avoid getting traded

Those jumpers float. They all float.

I was thinking of this when he posted that... "If you come with me, you'll float too."
