Forgot they were still producing these, but good for him.

Bonus

It's not surprising that the guy who says he doesn't have the nerves/stomach to watch close playoff games* would take the "worst outcome possible route is guaranteed" line of thinking.

And that's not meant as a slam, just an observation

*that is you, right or am I thinking of a different poster?

No, that's me. I DO expect the worst.

But I also think hip injuries tend to be bad, and that IT's body is brittle, to begin within. I just don't think we should have done the Celtics the favor of taking him off their hands, in exchange for a superstar. Crowder, Zizic, and picks was not enough of a return, to give Kyrie to our rival.

Its relative to the value of all alternative offers.
Its not like we had a plethora of options to choose from for a guy demanding a trade, viewed as a two year rental.

For some reason I feel like boston wont be very good this year.

We can rest IT till the ASB. When we get him back he'll play hard, and deal with the pain like a champ..cause he still wants to get paid.

playing with a chronic injury and dealing with pain starting at the all-star break is a great recipe for having your body break down halfway through the playoffs, which is just what happened to IT last year.

I agree with Kilgore here. If IT is useless we didn't get the return on Kyrie we should have. And we solved the Celtics problem for them. Fuck him and fuck the Celtics, make him play for us if we're not getting the right kind of offers. Or just wait a little.

IT didnt rest at all the last two years. He was the #1 option and had to will his team to victory, every game. Teams were so scared of his scoring ability they had to get physical and body him up in the playoffs. He wont have that pressure here. He'll be a third option or play behind rose and bring a scoring punch off the bench.

He was just a throw in. The BKN pick was what Gilbert really really wanted.

If he helps some, good, if he doesn't, ok, no biggie.
