Nope. Not at all. I'm talking specifically about the 4th and 2 throw, it was a deep sideline pattern. Watson had to put some air under the ball to get it over the defense, a wind gust caught the ball, and it went over DPJ's head. You and CBBI were crucifying Watson for not making that pass. Watson did fine throwing the ball as long as he could throw it hard and on a line. He couldn't make any completions when he tried to put any air under it at all, because of the wind. That is just physics. A deep out pattern going over the coverage isn't a great choice as a play call when it's 4th and 2 in today's conditions.
That's all I'm saying.
Any play call that ends in open receiver that the QB sees and has the protection to make a throw is a good play call. Flat out.
The weather sucked, but the weather sucked across the country and other QBs made plays. No excuses.
