Jae Crowder, See Ya When We See Ya

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
He never ever tossed it to someone else near the rim to finish. He was great at finishing, but it is dumb not to have a "B" option and it was one of the most frustrating things about his game to me.
That moment at the end of game 7 when he found a cutting LeBron (who nearly posterized Green) was one of the few times in his career he actually got to the rim and stopped to reassess his options. I'm grateful for that one but he also had a habit of attacking too early in the shotclock. At least the resident church of Kyrie no longer feel obligated to deny his flaws

Despite that, he often opted to dribble into a mid range or long two. He had poor shot selection and tunnel vision.
Last year if you would have made that statement you'd have 3 or 4 guys jumping down your throat. This year, not so much. Kind of nice, eh?

Some of those people are still doing them in other threads.

It was a nice year off from the kyrie thread for me personally. Couldn't take it.

I said as much last year. I was constantly on his ass about his poor shot selection and I got reamed here for it. So much in fact that I took half the season off as I watched the second half of the season go directly into the toilet.

If Kyrie wasn't so good at shooting, he would be considered a chucker. He rarely passed up ok shots for great shots.

He took way too many long twos and mid range shots instead of threes. That was my issue. And the whole no defense thing.

I've been saying the same shit about him for years. And I don't give a fuck who jumps down my throat.

I'm going to enjoy seeing him, Korver and JR flanking LeBron.

I do wonder if there's any lingering beef between him and JR.

According to what Jae said in his media day press conference they had settled the issue from the '15 playoffs before the '16 season even began.

I bet no one is happier to be out of Boston than Crowder.

Finally he doesnt have to hear all of those Boston fans with their annoying accent pronounce his name "Jaay Crooowwwder"

In my opinion shot selection is a part of basketball IQ. I can understand taking crazy long shots like Curry likes to do, it's more of a bad habit that great shooters have because they know they can make those shots, but choosing long two-pointers over threes is just dumb. It's so much worse than taking a deep three, imo. If you keep taking sub-optimal shots again and again, it tells me you're not a very intelligent player all around.

Kyrie is in a weird spot. I can't think of another guy who is so good that makes so many bad decisions. Maybe he figured it out. I hope not

I'm really glad we got better defensively Bry trading him for Crowder instead of trading him for one offensive player
