Antawn is BEASTING right now! We will see what numbers he officially ends up with but he is having a great game. I want him SO bad on this team. Him above all.

Are there any other big men who can spread the floor possibly available for trade other than Jamison and Murphy?

7-18 shooting so far against the Knicks is anything but BEASTING. He does have 18 rebounds though, which is impressive no matter who you are playing.

I wouldn't mind if Mike Miller came in a trade along with Tawn. He shoots lights out, he is big, he is suprisingly a good play maker, and oh yea did I already said he can shoot lights out?

Watching the Wizards is funny. It is seriously just a joke. They just get picked apart by everybody. I bet Antawn is just praying everyday in February that he gets traded from that excuse for a franchise.

The Wiz suck so the Knicks are a fair match. David Lee is playing like he is mad that he got left off of the All Star team or something. They got that little chip on their shoulder;)

I'd like to see Iggy with the Cavaliers. For some reason he's not the at the top of the media's list for us. I don't know if its the Larry Hughes factor or the fact that we've been talking stretch four so long. If we can land Iggy we would have All-Star caliber players at PG, SG, and SF.

Also, Iggy not being the shapshooter at SG isn't such a concern with Mo at the PG position. When we had Hughes we were looking at Eric Snow and Damon Jones playing the PG position.

Agreed. Over the next 2 seasons Iggy makes less money. There is another year on Iggy's contact but still. I love Jamison's game. He would be a great addition. But I love what Iggy brings more. We have the best stretch four in the game.

Well, he has an option for 2013-14 for $15.9m, so he effectively has two more years on his contract than Jamison...I think one factor here is the effect a new CBA will have after 2011. It seems a lot of teams are having qualms about Iggy's contract. I never really thought of it as a "bad" contract (unlike Brand or Hamilton), but if the next CBA is likely to be more constraining with a lower cap, maybe it is.

So if the next CBA is the concern, those 2 additional years on Iggy's contract are critical.

I think you have to deal with that when the time comes. If we have LeBron, Mo, AV, JJ, Boobie and Iggy signed, then we'll have a chance to compete. If there's a hard cap, which I really hope won't happen, there's no way the league can force teams to cut players that were already signed to get below whatever that line is... If LeBron is signed for $20M in 2012/2013, and we have Iggy, we're already on the books for close to $60M when factoring in draft picks.

Windhorst's latest on Jamison, taken from his article on Iguodala...Actually, nothing new here, so I wouldn't get too upset by this. I think Windy is trying, in part to manage expectations, since there obviously has been no movement on Washington's end. Windy recycles Jamison's words from a couple of days ago that he didn't think he was going anywhere, which sort of struck me as the sort of thing players typically say before they are traded...It seems the ball is in Washington's court now, and if they will be willing to take the Cavs' offer...There are still no other teams linked to Jamison.

Jamison not packing bags: Jamison's Wizards do appear to be at a crossroads. A new owner is coming at some point, though that process has been slowed as the Abe Pollin estate and incoming owner Ted Leonsis haggle trying to set a price. It now seems clear that Gilbert Arenas' contract will not be voided, but neither side wants to see each other again, setting up what is sure to be more drama to dissolve the $80 million left on his contract.

Yet even with these changes afoot, Jamison sure seems to have been told by management he's staying put.

"I don't see anything happening," Jamison told reporters in Washington. "I've been in this league for a while, and I've heard all the rumors there is to hear. It's part of the territory. But the reality of me not being here, I don't think it's going to happen, as far as my sources and the way things are going."

EDIT: Not that it's going to affect what they do, but the Wizards have a tough stretch coming up leading up to the break...They managed to beat two bad teams back to back (NJ and NY, which quite frankly didn't disappoint me too much since I am always glad to see the Nets and Knicks lose), but they now have Boston (in DC) on Monday, at NY (Wed), at Orlando (Fri), back home for Atlanta (Sat), then at Charlotte (Tues). Easily could lose all of them.

See, it's writeups like this^ that make me believe the Cavs are going to stand pat at the deadline...

I dont know if Jamison is very likely. It just seems as though Washington doesnt want to trade him to us. If they won't simply because of "bad blood" then what can we do?

Dude, everything you hear at the deadline, you have to take with a grain of salt. And in a lot of cases, keep your mind open that the exact opposite that you're reading will happen..

I expected everyone, especially here on RCF (with Amar'e, Bibby, etc) to know this by now..

Nothing.

Really, it all comes down to whether or not they want to move him. Like kovanovich said, no other teams have been linked to him, although Stein (or someone?) did say multiple teams are interested without naming any names. Without knowing our competition - if there actually is any - it's hard to gauge our chances. If they really want to move him and they simply aren't getting the offers they expected....they could definitely be forced to deal him here despite the supposed "bad blood."

I guess we should all be hoping that 1) they are 100% set on moving him, and 2) no other teams put up respectable offers for him. Certain quotes seem to be pointing towards them keeping him, but with smokescreens and everything who knows what's actually happening.

Of course, Iggy should be our #1 target now anyways and hopefully that goes well so we don't need to worry about Washington's hesitance to deal with us:thumbup:
