He just needs to understand his role and stick to it. When he doesn't is when we run into problems.Get tired of the green hate. Do you understand how bad we'd be without him?
He played a key role in tonight’s victory; good defense and a huge blocked shotGet tired of the green hate. Do you understand how bad we'd be without him?
He was REALLY good when DeRozan tried to isolate him. Like...really damn good. He can be a situational isolation stopper for sure.
Unlike guys like Clarkson, Hood, JR, and Osman, I have a hard time not seeing Green getting significant in the playoffs. He's gone thru a rough patch on offense but he along with Nance and Lebron have the biggest versatility on the team in terms of solid individual defense against multiple positions.
I would love to experiment with a lineup like for example: Love, Nance, Lebron, Green, and Hill to see what we can do if we go all out in terms of best defenders we have
I was thinking last night that that would be a hard cover for most teams if he started at sg. We could do that against Houston for instance and really throw Harden off. We could potentially have size on Houston at every position except against Capela with George Hill on CP3. Might make a lot of sense to put length on their guards to close down the passing lanes.
I have totaly changed my mind about him shooting 3's. i really wish he would do it from the corners, but really he has to shoot the 3 when he is wide open for the Cavs to be successful. He is working on it, and he needs to take it if wide open.
Jeff Green went from defending a starting center last week to DeMar DeRozan last night. "Our coaches are giving me the opportunity to showcase what I can do on the defensive end."
As much hate as he has gotten recently, at times this season Green has played some outstanding man to man defense on elite wings.
