I feel bad for him. Everyone but the coaching seems to know this is not his game or role. Looks terrible because of it.
 
Lue didn't think that late Green seasonal rally was real did he? Oh, that is right, sure he did. When teams are playing 60% all out. Guy has a role, might have to be deactivated via Gilbert so Lue can't abuse him anymore.

Jeff Green has always been a terrible player in terms of having an expectation for him.

He can put up some numbers on a terrible team but there’s nothing consistent in his game but inconsistency.. That’s why he’s been passed thru by so many...
 
I knew we needed options instead of Green just in case. When we got rid of Frye it was real apparent that we lacked enough shooting bigs. Derrick Williams or Terrence Jones waiting on the bench would have been a nice option. We need someone to come in to at least give some rest to Love.

We had a chance to work in another guy during Love's injury. Definitely now need to go back to a regular rotation and screw this small ball BS starting lineup. I think we still have to play Green because of no better options for a backup PF.

I thought he played reasonably well in his earlier role as LeBron backup off the bench.
 
If the reason he is starting is because they think he can defend Durant they are going to be disappointed. He couldn't defend against the Pacers. Not sure how he is going to fare any better against the warriors.

Or, more like, fuck Lue for putting you in a role you cannot handle.
 
It just blows my mind that Encouraging Jeff Green to keep shooting is the hill Lue chooses to die on

So many more comfortable hills out there and he picks this one

Green shouldn’t be allowed to shoot from outside of 10 feet. Yeah, it’ll hurt spacing, but he’s also playing the 5. You don’t NEED spacing from him
 
Green was fine in his bench role but Lue just went away from that for whatever reason. I don’t even blame Green, yeah he shit the bed but there is a reason he is wide open from 3 every play - guy shouldn’t even be in that position

He hasn't looked like the same player since he injured his back. He was way more explosive and ready to slash to the rim before. Now it's 3s and long 2s. Before it was hard slams and posting up guys.
 
It takes special talent for someone of Jeff Greens physicality and ability to play 25 minutes and be able to score 0 points !!! And to think we thought Anthony Bennett left the team.
