Joe "Captain America" Harris

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I would be amazed if philly doesnt use one of its million 2nd rounders on him as hes got some NBA experience so will integrate into the locker room easily. Sooner or later you need some older guys from winning teams even if you dont want to pay the ones that can play

I'd be shocked if anyone gave us any pick for Joe Harris. He's a zero value player. And I think you're gonna have a REAL hard time selling Joe Harris as an "older guy from a winning team." He's a guy that happened to be on a winning team's roster for a season, but that's about it.

Agreed, anytime Joe got playing time I kept thinking "How in the world has this guy made it on an NBA roster".
Would be shocked if Griffin gets anything for him, but he's done a fantastic job so far so maybe he can pull another "Oh that guy Dion? Hardworking, great teammate, unlimited potential, hes going to be legendary!!" type of move :p

They need to start giving Harris burn in upcoming games like the Sixers and Knicks to increase his value.

Very ironic timing for him to need surgery.

Indeed. I highly doubt he just found out he had a bone spur in his foot overnight and then opted for season-ending surgery.

@col63onel what does this mean for our trade prospects and opening a roster space? Are we stuck with him? Can we cut him and make space? Was his contract guaranteed? Is it still? Are we forced to dump Cunningham?

I mean, did Harris pull the ultimate move to get a championship ring?

What an amazing, amazing time to have this injury occur.

If he's really, really injured and really, really needs this surgery right now, then fine.

But man oh man, you couldn't have asked for a better time for this to come up if he didn't want to be traded. Because now there's almost no chance the cavs can get rid of him w/o trading something else to go along with him.

It's incredible timing.. I mean, he didn't get a season ending injury as far as I know; it was elective surgery as far as I can tell.

A bone spur in your foot doesn't happen overnight, and AFAIK, it doesn't hurt if you're not playing on it.

If Gilbert can't afford the small added tax bill to keep Crawford around as insurance then he sure as shit can't take on Markieff Morris' bloated salary as you've been suggesting in other parts :chuckle:

No but seriously, I have no fucking clue what you're talking about? :chuckle:

If we're talking about Morris, well, Gilbert should expect to use the TPE (remember LBJ's issue with Mickey Arison), so Morris' salary isn't an issue -- think about it, it makes no sense to debate Morris' salary once you've determined to trade the exception for talent. All his other issues are fair game, but not his salary.

And Crawford? Crawford who? As in, Jamal Crawford? ..?? :chuckle: Wha?

Or maybe they just discovered the reason he is, erm, not that good? And he'll come back gangbusters once it's fixed?

Yeah, right.
