Jordan McRae

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Welcome to my nightmare.

Nearly a decade of futility.

At this point, the only thing that can change this, is an ownership change because we've been pretty awful at scouting/development since the Danny Ferry days.

Delly being the exception that proves the rule.

Hate to help argue your point because I, being generally negative as well, do disagree with your stance. But someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think Delly was a Grant regime guy and not Griffin..

Not to sound like a contrarian or an asshole or both but is this a guy talented/useful enough not to rot on the bench and not end up like Cunningham? Well, never mind, it is a 10-day contract after all. Take the experiment 1 game at a time, they say.

He is an athletic practice body. Won't see time unless we are blowing a team out.

Dude just came off two 10 day contracts with the Suns, who sent him back to Newark, Delaware to play on the Blue Hens court.

The 87ers are owned by the 76ers. McRae isn't good enough to earn a rotation spot on the Sixers. Ok as a practice body and fill-in with a few players banged up. I don't expect much from this guy.

I like the change in philosophy here with taking a swing at some potential. I feel like in the past the cavs would have given the 10 day contract to a Charge player to reward them for being a good soldier, especially since it should be a temporary roster spot to get to league minimum 14 players. They get a 10 day in house evaluation of a player with some potential and better use of scouting and money.

Come on man...I know being negative is your forte, but Griff has actually done pretty well for himself in his 2 drafts IMO.

1. Andrew Wiggins over Parker and Embiid (hit)
2. Joe Harris (miss, but look at the names taken after him...Jordan Clarkson is really it for the better alternatives up to this point)
3. Acquiring the rights to Dwight Powell (hit...arguably been the best value pick in that entire draft, just couldn't keep him around when we needed to clear cap for LBJ and Love)
4. Rakeem Christmas (TBD, though not on the Cavs watch)
5. Cedi Osman (TBD, but is one of the best young foreign players out there right now)
6. Sir'Dom Pointer (TBD)

I just love harder than most bro.

Hopefully those guys listed work out for Griff, but history says it isn't likely :chuckle:.

Oh, I'm still with you..I share a concern over our lack of faith in giving young guys a chance recently and the fact that we keep trading them off...Dwight Powell would look really good on this team right now...but I still think we need to give Griff a little more time before we lose our confidence in him...his shrewd moves so far at least have me optimistic about the outlooks of when it is in fact time to rebuild or retool...but yeah, time will tell.

Too early to know how his 2nd round picks from this year pan out, obviously, but I think he did very well for himself in 2014, seeing as how we know a little more about those players now.

And I also think his UDFA finding in Quinn Cook, who I have mentioned a few times will be on the Cavs next season, is going to be a hit as well.

Ok. I'll give you that Griffin >>>>>> everyone since the Richfield Years, based off this list, especially Wiggins over Embiid and Parker. In particular, Embiid. He would have been that pick if not for the foot troubles.

I hope Quinn Cook makes the Cavs and he doesn't get Cunningham'd

I'm just skeptical

Showed me more offensively in 7 garbage time minutes than Cunningham ever did.

I didn't realize he was so thin. 6'6" 185 lbs. Gotta see more of him before I form an opinion though.

8 points and a plus 15 in a blowout. He is very long. Shame he has not hit the weight room harder since college. His jumper looks decent and he can handle the ball I bet this kid is in an NBA rotation in the next 2-3 years somewhere.
