Besides Warriors.McCrae was popular in the locker room and all class after getting cut for the good of the team. I genuinely hope he has success in his next stop.
I feel nothing for him getting cut except joy.
We won a championship, but he had nothing to do with it.
He's a scrub, he's always been a scrub, and by God's graces, he got a ring out of us and two seasons of NBA pay. Really lucky dude, invest wisely because the NBA has seen enough film of him to know he doesn't belong here.
He's been wasting this roster spot for far too long. I would've rather it had been Dahntay wasting the spot, to tell you the truth.
McRae had years of opportunity on our team to learn to fit in, not chuck incessantly when he gets to play, and learn to commit to some defense at least.
He gave us none of those improvements. We should have given his chance to some other hungry 23-25 year old from the D-League. They may have gotten the memo.
Besides Warriors.
I thought he was going to be much better on defense than he was and he could stay on court that way. He is long but not that strong and doesn't seem to have developed a great b-ball IQ on either end of the court. But you know, the NBA is really hard.
Does seem like a very nice guy though, wish him the best. He can definitely fill it up when he is playing bad players or the other team isn't very motivated. I still remember in the last game of the RS against Detroit last year he scored 36 points on 29 shots with 7 assists and singlehandedly kept us in the game.
Also, in the 2015 playoffs he went 4-4 with 9 points and 2 rebounds in four total minutes of play. He had the best per-36 stats of any Cavalier -- 36-36 for 81 points and 18 rebounds! Glory days!
