I think everyone agrees that these 3 players will be gone from the training camp roster --------------> Tavares, Perkins, Holland
Then you're down to 2 more players who have to go.
Here's more on Calderon/Jefferson/Felder from Vardon. He was asked why Calderon's name is not being brought up as someone who might get cut.

Yes, Jose Calderon is 36 and coming off the worst year of his pro career. He would cost less to cut than Richard Jefferson, who is widely considered vulnerable on the Cavs' roster, because he only costs $1.47 million against the salary cap. Jefferson counts $2.5 million against the cap, so, when factoring in luxury tax penalties it would cost millions more to waive Jefferson. However, coach Tyronn Lue and the front office really likes Calderon. Also, they signed him so they wouldn't get into a situation where they're having to rely on Kay Felder, even as a backup. Cleveland does indeed have Derrick Rose and Dwyane Wade healthy and on the roster, with Isaiah Thomas on the way. But all three have a history of injuries. The Cavs could waive Calderon, yes, but for now, it appears they have more reliable players on the wings (where Jefferson plays) in terms of health than they do at point guard. It's worth noting that the Cavs are far more likely to trade a player (in this scenario, it would probably still be Jefferson instead of Calderon) rather than cut one.
So:
1. Felder is gone (which we already pretty much knew).
2. Injury concerns (Thomas/Rose/Wade) to Cavs PG's probably help Calderon stick.
3. Lack of injury concerns to Cavs' wings probably help push Jefferson out.
Also, I think what happened last year figures in here. Remember LeBron being upset about a lack of play makers last year? I don't think the team wants any chance that happens again (because of injuries). Which is to say,
we want to avoid any possibility that Shumpert plays point guard again.
Unless someone gets hurt in addition to Thomas, it seems unlikely that Calderon will be playing much at all. He should likely be third string. With depth charts possibly looking like this:
LEBRON AND THOMAS OUT (current) =========> not taking into account Shump's injury

Right now, then, Calderon is basically playing over two rookies and Frye in the preseason (as well as over Jefferson and Felder, etc). And if Frye were a point guard, then Calderon may not be playing over him right now, either.
