Josh Gordon discussion

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Can someone summarize?
Hawk talked about how Josh Gordon was the most talented receiver he's seen but was always battling issues off the field. Lots of former Browns coaches tried different approaches to motivate him (drill sergeant, friend, etc) but no one commanded his respect. When Hue walked in and demanded accountability from Josh, he immediately shaped up in his training habits. Then rehab happened and he went downhill from there.

Lol, "no one commanded his respect."

As if his respect was worth it's weight in feces. And rehab happened AFTER his friend got busted WITH HIM trying to board a plane with a lot of pot.

Nothing against the summary posted, but this is a crock of shit.

FWIW, I'm pretty sure the whole boarding a plane with a lot of pot report from OBR proved to be a load of shit.

I mean you have to be one fucked up individual when going to rehab makes you go downhill when it is supposed to be the complete opposite.

*sigh* None of us knows the nature of Josh's substance abuse problems. In addition, Hawkins did NOT say that rehab caused Josh to go downhill. He said he had never seen Gordon work harder than he did under Hue, and then, "Had Josh not had to check into rehab, got suspended, whatever the situation was, he would have been probably the top receiver in the NFL that year. Because he looked incredible, yo. It was amazing to watch. Between him on one side and Terrelle Pryor on the other, I'm like 'Dude, this is gonna get scary for DBs.' "

There is absolutely no implication that things went downhill after or because of rehab.

When will we know if he gets approved back into the league? Doesn't he have another chance to get back into the league?

Not sure of the exact date but he can reapply this fall. So basically anytime now.

Was it all a load of shit? Or was it someone that was with Josh and not Josh himself? I thought it was the second. Could be mistaken..

Anyways, why check into rehab after a non-incident? Fishy, considering he was all but ready to be cleared back to play in about a week. He needed the money for certain.

Excuse me for a moment while I let my imagination run wild with visions of Kizer launching those bombs to Gordon :mouth water:

I always saw it as a ploy to get out of Cleveland.

About a week after that while in rehab he was liking every tweet someone would send him about coming to their team.... anyone but the Browns.

He, unlike Jamie Collins, despises Cleveland.
