JR Smith

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
From Ridenour: "J.R. Smith said he did not have X-ray. Happened in first half, didn't feel right at first but trainers deemed it ok"

He played for awhile during the third quarter, so doesn't seem to have been a big issue.

Just stay healthy: if we make the FInals since he has missed so much time he should be actually rounding into peak shape right around that time. JR in peak form remains one of the most underrated reasons the Cavs were championship contenders/winners against an all time Warriors team: just don't find guys who are elite shooters, are athletic, can defend, and can win you a game going into the zone

Guy has been such a willing passer, that guys on the wing just aren't ready.

He's honestly by far and away the most underrated passer in the league. He always looks to make the extra pass, throws stupid lobs to Lebron, and on the rare occasion he drives on a closeout he's always no-looking the dump off to the person in the dunker spot when the big rotates over to contest

Jr just knows Derozans game inside out. Plays him so well and reads his cuts perfectly

Just in case anyone was wondering, he is absolutely worth every dollar and then some.

Even with the year from hell with injuries/personal stuff. Jamal Crawford got what, $15 mil? Isn't Demarre Carrooll making like 16 million?

His D has been great. His shot is still getting there, but he's starting to play with confidence. Huge for us.

Agreed; love me some JR. I just hope that thumb continues to hold up...

My dude single-handedly kept us in game 7 with his hot 3rd quarter last year. For that alone, JR Smith is Cleveland Sports Royalty.

He's shooting 45% from 3 in the post-season and he's defended Paul George(turned into a volume shooter..28 points but needed 22 shots and shot under 40%)and DeMar DeRozan(only 19 pts on 16 shots in game 1) very well.

There are 15-20+ examples of guys that JR is better than making similar/more money or anything.

I admire your willingness to die on this hill though. Very Stephen A of you to defend a bad take to the grave.
The fact that you find yourself in a position to defend this guy's contract is all that needs to be said on the matter.

I disagree with JR doing a good job defending Paul George, but, agree on everything else. He has been great offensively in the playoffs and did a very good job on DeMar the other night. I hope that's a sign that his defense can turn on for the rest of the postseason. A fully locked-in JR makes me much more confident in our chances to repeat.
