JR Smith

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
He is such a overpaid piece of trash. Smh how is he starting over Korver? When Shump comes back he need to take his place and JR can ride the bench

I used to would have disagreed with you just for the defensive aspect but JR does nothing on either end, at least korver can get hot and get you 20-25. I would say try it with shump off the bench

Last time we play the Nets, send JR to attack Dinwiddle. So he gets kicked out of the NBA. He just wants to sit around and booze it up anyway.

JR is done. It's no longer about just effort. I think he's on the downside of his career and it's happening fast. That's just the reality.

Here's what I don't understand.

Why the fuck is JR not jacking up 3s?! Why is he dribbling?

All that we need from JR on offense is letting every 3 fly that comes his way. That's it. Why are they not telling him this?

Lue should sit down with JR and say:

"Listen JR, I appreciate your efforts to help create on offense, but honestly, we ONLY need you to do one thing: shoot. Just shoot every 3 you can. That's it. Just shoot 3s. As many as you want."

Simple.

Now, as for his defense...

Nothing sadder than a jump shooter that has lost confidence in his shot... RIP JR's swag...

Have to find a way to get rid of him,,,he has to be benched soon there is no other way this can end. When he is benched he is going to cause major headaches for this team.

It makes the Cavs look bad that two of their highest-paid players are unplayable.

I'm actually excited for Shumpert to be back to take JR's spot in the starting lineup, that's how much of an anchor this guy is on the roster.

Eat a fuckin' dick JR. I hope that somebody in the FO reaches to scratch his head, finds a brain up there and uses the Nets pick to unload you and TT's decaying carcass for a useful NBA player.
I thought you were the guy for months who would not have traded the pick for anyone, but i could be mistaken. But yeah, pretty much everyone is coming around and realizing that the Cavs don't really have a future. If they don't make trades the team might not get out of the East and Lebron is gone and the hope of building for the future is sort of pethetic. The last title run this team will see in at least 30 years and the fans already want to blow it up to see low mediocracy for the next few decades (this is my own rant and doesnt really have anything to do with Mr. JMoney).

Man, people certainly have turned on this guy. I don't know what his problem is currently, but I do know he was a big part of winning the only championship I've seen in my 47 years, hit some major shots in game 7, and was a big part of why LeBron got "the block." He will forever be etched in my mind as a favorite player. That said, he's not helping, and this roster needs a bunch of fucking help. We need a new coach too, but I don't think we'll be getting that soon.

That was two years ago. He's finished now.

I would prefer to not trade the pick, and truthfully I don't think it's going to get dealt. LBJ won't commit no matter what and in Gilbert's mind the pick is his "ace in the hole", which will greatly offset the damage of another LeBron departure.

That said, the roster needs A LOT of work beyond just easing IT into his role if we're going to harbor any notions of competing for a title. Like I've said elsewhere, we know we have the talent to make it out of the East, but winning another conference crown isn't the ultimate goal here.

We need to dump guys who are actively hurting us by seeing playing time while upgrading their spots. The pick gives us the best ability to do both.

Gilbert and LeBron are both stubborn, headstrong guys but they need to have a meeting of the minds to figure out what they wan to accomplish this season and beyond.

IMO, its a simple explanation: the hand injury JR suffered has proved to have had a long term effect on his ability to shoot. He is admirably trying to employ others skills, but without the shot, he is a below average SG.

Contract sucks for the Cavs, but injuries happen and the contract was cost of doing business with King James. This position must be upgraded; if you can't find the right trade, roll with Cedi/Shump ahead of JR.

Also, NO RENTALS with the Brooklyn pick; hopefully top-50 multi-year contract players only (i.e. Blake Griffin yes, Cousins, DJ no.)

Lol jr always tries to pull a Reggie. Runs out to the 3 point only to brick shots. Either way I hope this shithead heats up in the playoffs, although I doubt it.

I feel just the opposite. I think he turned on us. I dont expect him to lead us in scoring or hit all his shots but playing hard and giving defensive effort is a choice
