JR has quietly gone 10-19 from deep in the 6 games since being moved back to the bench.

Overall, he's shot .427 from deep over his last 25 games.
Yeah, his place has noticeably improved since the move. Think you have to keep him there for that reason alone.
 
JR is like this. There will be a stretch where he can't make shots at all. And there will be a stretch where he will make ridiculous shots as if they were wide open lay-ups. The thing is, earlier his defense was good. So, even when he had bad shooting games, he was still producing something positive. But currently with his defense deteriorating badly, he is a negative player unless its a vintage JR Smith shooting show.

JR got an emotional support dog and it seems to have made a big difference for him personally. He doesn’t seem so moody anymore.
