Apparently not a PF either. Only half joking

No, this is a good point though...

Kevin Love has no place on this team against the Warriors if he can't play small-ball center. We don't have a rim-protecting, high-energy big that can protect the rim and also defend the PnR such that Love's defense isn't an enormous issue at either the 4 or the 5.

He should be traded... shame Kevin Pritchard did what he did... Things would be looking a lot differently right now. Cavs could've likely put together a squad of Thomas, George, Crowder (maybe) and Melo. Would still have Wade and Rose. I'd have a lot more confidence in that team, and that team doesn't open the season like this one did.

You are what you can guard. And in loves case that’s nothing.

The only redeeming quality he has on defended are his rebounding and active hands in passing lanes. But that doesn’t make up for the dozens of blown PNRs and shots that just go right over him without contesting.

He needs a buzz cut, put on 30 pounds and lose the model side gig. Otherwise, I'm not particularly interested in him being on the team much longer.

The whole team seems to need a soul searching on their commitment to the game and he is right at the front of that line. The team as currently constructed is absolutely soft. No hunger at all.

Very interested in the situation in OKC.

They have started really poorly. But, I would be seriously interested in doing a PG for Love or a Melo + 1st Round Pick for Love deal tbh. I genuinely think PG or Melo would add more to our squad than Love would. Especially against the Warriors. Although against the rest, I would prefer Love to Melo.

Anyway, if we get say Melo. We can use that pick, along with our own 2018 1st round pick and combine it with say TT to get a good Center.

Yeah, I'd have an an aneurysm if we traded Love and our 2018 1st round pick for Carmelo freakin' Anthony, ESPECIALLY after turning down a straight TT for Melo swap.

Are you serious with that? I get that Love isn't hot stuff right now but Melo isn't doing much better in OKC, and as was always the case with a "Love for Melo" deal you're basically filling one hole while creating another (or two.) With no Love and TT sidelined a month, what will our front court rotation consist of? Frye and Zizic, who apparently needs to be the second coming of Mutombo to even be granted court consideration?

We need to get creative with our assets and focus on acquiring defensive-minded players. I'm just not sure what avenue Gilbert and Griffin wish to take; "concede" and hope that a resurgent IT will fix most of the issues with this team, or go all in on what could possibly be LeBron's last year in Cleveland?

That ship has sailed. We could have gotten Melo for much less, or possibly PGIII if we had offered more, but there is no way OKC is trading either one until next summer, if ever.

I could MAYBE see OKC considering a Love for George centered trade, especially with Russ now locked up and George having the flex to bail in the offseason for nothing. That wouldn't be the worst move for them as Adams would perfectly cover Love's weaknesses and Russ/Love are good friends.

But they would have to still be struggling going into the trade deadline for them to probably do it.

FFS. Not Love + Our 1st Round Pick for Melo.

Was saying Love for Melo + OKC 1st Round Pick.

I could see Love fitting perfectly in Utah! Him and Rubio played well off each-other and could reunite. Gobert would cover all of his weakness - he would be the perfect compliment of any player in the NBA for Love. Utah is really struggling shooting the ball thus far the season so maybe they would see Love as a fix.

Before the deadline.

Cavs get: Favors, Sefolosha, 1st
Jazz get: Love

Instead of trading Love for other trash. Why not go all in for Cousins? He's a legit #1 or 2 option. You know he won't play bad...and Lebron would take him under his wing and take care of his mental on court issues. He is playing so well though this year so I can't see N.O. trading him easily.

If we don't value Love, why would anyone else?

Jesus. These trade ideas are awful.
