Kevin Love has really become Mr. Consistent and he really deserves credit for it.

I’ll take what he’s doing now night in and night out compared to him having bigger numbers one night, followed by two quieter ones.

He’s really gotten into a groove.

Most underrated player in the league.

Those Minnesota years are taking away from what he's doing on a contender. If he'd gone straight to a contender or with a star player like Thompson did with Curry everyone would be all over a guy who can post, shoot 3's, pass, and rebound

I have been noticing something, and it has probably been talked about a lot but I don't wanna read the last 20 pages or so. Since Kyrie is not here, I know people have talked about how Love seems to stay more involved, BUT his comments after games, they are different. Like he talks about Lebron much more as a friend, than a teammate. They wait for each other before going to locker room, yes I know LeBron usually does this, but I don't always remember Love doing that. Hell maybe I am even reaching, but I just feel like its been different for Love from a personal standpoint as much as a basketball standpoint.

Well first of all, I don’t think Kevin really got along all that well with Kyrie on a personal level anyway. Love has always been closest to the veterans on this team... RJ, Channing, Korver, James Jones, and LeBron.

Those two weeks after Kyrie was traded to Boston was literally the happiest I’ve ever seen Love. And I think after Ky was traded, LeBron and Love bonded more because there’s one less “star” in the room to have to placate.

Dave and Windy talked at length in their book about Love coming out of his shell, and Channing and RJ were the main reasons. Now, whether Kyrie getting moved or not brought Love and LeBron closer, I don't know. But if it did, it wouldn't be surprising. Love has been all about the he team since day one, and he's never complained (at least publicly). Meanwhile, Kyrie forced his way off a title team.

Kyrie sounded like he's annoying to be around day in and day out when you hear him drop in on the Road Trippin podcast. He talked about how Kobe told him there has to be a guy that makes the team uncomfortable. Getting rid of that cancer is probably worth more than we can imagine.

It happened exactly what I said a few pages ago, he just can't play 30+ minutes against this type of team because of his defense. We clearly saw the difference with Green-Thompson in the 4th quarter. This doesn't mean that he was bad, I mean he did a good game with 20+11 and important shots but you just can't afford him with that defense for too many minutes.

I do agree that against certain team and when Green is playing like he is now it's hard get Love back out there. My only complaint was Love was hot on offense and would have opened up the floor more.

It’s an interesting conundrum, because as challenging it can be for Love at times on defense (which I don’t really consider his fault), he’s also our best offensive big by far.

Ultimately I think there has to be some kind of defensive scheme or coverage we can utilize to minimize Love’s defensive shortcomings, I just don’t know what that is yet.

Love has destroyed the Bucks this year. Trying to put anything on him last night seems misguided.

Thats Kobe being self -centered and thinking everything revolves around him.
The issue was that Irving was uncomfortable with the Cavs.
That said ,it's obvious that the dysfunction we read about was from Irving.

There is such a scheme. It's called, "play him at the 4 and get a true center to protect the rim".

He has been Un-Kevin like in his consistency, having a supremely efficient year scoring wise. Averaging a hair under 20 on 13.5 shots, not many in the league that productive.

He needs a big game against GS. If he can perform as the second option, stay on the floor defensively it could do wonders for his confidence.
