I agree, all you have to do is look at the stats. They show this kid is worth trying out. If it doesn't work, yank him. It's not rocket science. We can afford some experimentation early. We should have been trying this out during the season, but it is what it is.

Not sure you can go to him now though. I didn't watch the Knicks game. Didn't realize he had 20 points after not even playing for nearly a month.

I don't know what he did to make the coaching say, he shouldn't be part of the rotation.

I know, he did nothing! It's kind of sickening how they play favorites with players that aren't doing a damn thing.

Thompson didn't deserve a rotation spot, at all, when he came back. Just so sickening they buried Zizic for him.

Really pisses me off. Especially since in the end, Thompson didn't even warrant a rotational spot in the playoffs. That's what really make me even more angry.

So playing him was basically a complete waste.

Great example. He got 10 shots. What if he could get you 10pts off 5 shots? His efficiency is great and would make Indiana have to adjust to the Cavs. What if they have to bring Turner off the bench when he was supposed to rest. Just getting guys uncomfortable on the other team and messing up their rotation could be great. You could put Calderon and Clarkson in there and say, just run pick and roll with Zizic. If he isn't open a shooter in the corner will be.

He completely regressed, in every way, and was a complete liability on the floor.

It was a bad miscalculation that they just seemingly ignored.

I'm not a TT HATER, either. I've always been meh on him, but have recognized the things he does bring when he's on his game. If this was TT from last year, I'd get it at least. Because I think he was one of our bright spots defensively last year.

He was solid, where a lot others weren't on this team. He's not been that this year and just a complete liability on the floor.

Realest post on this thread lately. I'm very, very anti-TT.. but I'm fine with trying him for a 3-4 minutes span at C just to get Love off the freaking big guys.. I'd MUCH rather see Zizic get those minutes, but realistically I know Lue is never going to do that.

He needs to do something for Love. The dude is a soldier and will do whatever he's asked, but he can't keep taking a beating and then be asked to score 20-25 a game.

Lue needs to adjust.

Glory to stroke it? I’m not some Zizic fan boy, but we we are doing isn’t working and we look like shit on both ends of the court. Might need to try something in the first round against a team you should beat before you get down the road and realize you’re fucked. I said run that lineup a few minutes and see how it works out and go from there.

I’ll admit , I’d like to see what Zizic could do as well but if it were my butt on the line, I’m going down with vets .

Oh, I'm quite sure that's Lue's thinking. Better to know you're going down with the vets, rather than playing the rookies and risk losing anyway.

Thing is, I think a coach should be more concerned about winning than he is about avoiding blame if they lose.

And Perkins was relevant 10 years ago starting on a team that won a ship. Why a coach would go with a guy, based on what they did in the past, and not the present, is not a problem in itself, no?

We're talking an entire season of being useless, and being the sole player that hurts us the most when on the floor.
