"(Kobe) Bryant Doesn't Give 'a bleep' About Where LeBron Will Play" (NY Post)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The whole Kobe is better than Lebron because he wins championships is even older. The reason he wins championships is (duh) because he plays on championship teams. He's never won a title without another superstar player who wasn't top 5 at their position. And he's never won a title without Phil Jackson either.

So if you're going to attack Lebron for not winning titles without any kind of context, that's the arguement that is there against what you're saying.

Lebron has won 60+ games the last two seasons without even having another 1 all-star player next to him. Nevermind superstar. And he's won 60+ games with one of the worst offensive coaches in the league. Lebron has done what he's done in spite of his supporting cast. He lugged a team that started Larry Hughes and Eric Snow at one point into the NBA Finals. Kobe has never done anything even remotely close to that.

Look at the two teams in the Finals right now. Celtics: 4 superstar level players. Lakers: 3 superstars and then two guys who are among the best in the league at their role. AND the greatest coach of all-time, without whom neither Kobe or Jordan would have won nearly as many titles.

These are just facts. But don't let them get in the way of unfairly tearing down Lebron on a Cavs site.

If Lebron teams up with Bosh and Wade this summer, you'll see what winning is about.

Exactly. So people have to stop bringing up the all-time fucking STUPIDEST Kobe hate excuse in the book. Omg Kobe won with Shaq! Then didn't win! Then now he's winning because of Pau!!! (None of you were talking about Pau being SHIT on the Griz).

So others will say, ok, well Lebron has no rings...

You say, give him PAU and he gets rings!!!

Then what, I should say that isn't jack shit because he had Pau and can't win without talent?

People have to shut the fuck up with the Kobe hate. Very very few teams have ever won with just one great player.

Ummm...not exactly champ.

Were the Lakers FAVORED to win either of those series? You damn know well that a 7th seed is rarely expected to win out over a 2 seed in a 7 game series, especially one which was as clearly lopsided as those Lakers/Suns series.

Let's break this down.

45-37 Lakers vs. 54-28 Suns. Suns in 7.
42-40 Lakers vs. 61-21 Suns. Suns in 5.

66-16 Cavs vs. 59-23 Magic. Magic in 6.
61-21 Cavs vs. 50-32 Celtics. Celtics in 6.

Not even comparable. Like I said...it's took a superhuman historical effort by James to get past the 54 win Detroit Pistons in the ECF. Aside from that, LeBron's teams have not gotten it done against GOOD (50+ wins) playoff teams.

Well I guess Phil is not who we thought he was if he was losing in round 1... Coach Brown never lost in round 1..

Phil probably could have gotten those teams out of the first round, but Kobe quit on the Lakers, and that was after being basically uncoachable.

Before Phil came back, Kobe couldn't even make the playoffs let alone lose in them.

Listen here, guy.. I dunno what tweaked your melons, but the fact remains the same...

Kobe Bryant hasn't won jack shit without Derek Fisher....

Give LeBron Derek Fisher and we're talking dynasty... Fucking dynasty..

We can probably name them.
Hakeem.
And maybe that's it? Maybe Tim Duncan too.

But that's it in modern times.

Of course this attention is on Lebron. He created it with the all the flirting over the last two years and the media has run with it.

He could have stopped this with something along these lines: "Out of respect for the teams and players in the playoffs and the integrity of the game, I, will not, and nor should you, be discussing or granting interviews regarding my impending free agency until conclusion of the Finals." The reason why all these stations are digging up old interviews is to compete with CNN (who was granted an interview)/take advantage of the fervor from the CNN interview.

Damn, seems like to some of you Lebron is just the poor innocent victim.

i will be waiting for CHIMOCHIS stupid reply

What? are you freaking kidding me?

Hakeem won the title with Drexler, Horry and kenny

Duncan won his first title with his fellow tower David Robinson + Ellie too

cmon

How so?

So because our #2 option last season disappeared in the postseason, and because our #2 & 3 options disappeared this postseason, that means LeBron doesn't have the will to win?

Please show me where a superstar has won a 'ship by himself with no help...

Right. Good role players are a part of it too. Guys who are going to work hard and hit big shots are the stuff of champions. Steve Kerr, John Paxson, Mario Elie, Robert Horry the list goes on and on.

At the end of the day Teams win championships, and we all know this. Superstars are a big part of teams that win titles, but they aren't the only part(and there almost always needs to be a plural of them).

It took Michael Jordan till he was 28 to finally win a title, and a lot of that was waiting for his team to put the right mix around him, and then waiting for those guys to mature. He couldn't have won a title until Scottie Pippen was ready. And he knew that. It's a folktale that these guys do it on their own.

Yeah but I'm saying those two are the closest. Clyde at that point was more of a role player than a superstar, and Horry and Kenny were just role players. The Rockets were Hakeem and then like Pistons level role players. Which is still a good team, but it's not Jordan and Pippen, Magic and Kareem, Bird, Parish, Mchale--y'know.

But you're just proving my point. There's not really an example in NBA history of one guy on a bad team winning a title through his own personal greatness. This is a team sport. Not tennis.

Damn, seems like to some of you Lebron is just the poor innocent victim.

There are some who think LeBron should have his cake and eat it too. That when the team succeeds all the credit should go to him, and when the team fails, well- it's Mike Brown's fault, it's Danny Ferry's fault, it's the fans' fault, it's Mo's fault, it's the elbow's fault, it's Ken Berger's fault

... but never LeBron's. Heaven forbid.

Why does everyone keep taking Pip's sarcasm seriously?

This is a team sport exactly. Lebron can't win without other greats, and Kobe haters here have to stop bringing up the fact that Kobe had Gasol... duh?

Oh crap, im tired of this nonsense and silly comments.

I dont give a bleep also.

Go ahead. say what you want to say that makes Lebron look good despite the awful ending he just did during the playoffs.
