L Cleveland 106 Memphis 113

Re: L Cleveland 112 Memphis 106

Reasons we lost this game...

Eric Snow flatout sucks..for every good or decent play he counters it with a dumb pass on a 4-2 fastbreak or getting shook by someone and taken to the cup. At least he scored...4 points in three games...pff I could do that.

Lay off the 3. While a great weapon you cant live off of it. You can't be one dimensional, Larry and Lebron are SLASHERSnot three point marksman.

Z's defense is horrible he is so slow reacting to a spin move..A MOVE HE USES EVERY SINGLE PLAY ON OFFENSE that he is often out of place for a block or defensive rebound. I feel sorry for anyone if this was the first NBA game they watched because they have probably ordered a Pau Gasol jersey already thinking he is Kareem Abdul Jabbar or something...Z makes the other player look good with his defense....

ATTACK THE BASKET...you have two of the best penetrators in the Association and a 7 3 guy and you don't utilize them to their full potential. We had them on the ropes in the 3rd quarter with 4 team fouls and what did we do? attack the basket you guess? uh no we camped out and chucked 30 footers at the rim...bullshit.

If we lose to Toronto I'm seriously going to flip some shit, I want Mike Brown to have a 6 hour practice tomorrow and engrave defense and penetrating into their foreheads..

THE GRIZZ sot 60 %

gasol couldnt be stopped tonight

You can attribute the 60% to Gasol and Wright destroying Z all over the court whether they were shooting 15 foot jumpers with Z lunging at them or when he blew coverage and they had a point blank dunk/layup...

No joma he could have been stopped just not with the player we chose to guard him.

Shhhhhhhhh  There is a ZERO "Z" bashing tolerance policy on this site...You are not allowed to mention his slowness and/or lack of defense..

You are not allowed to call him a poor defender remember ?

What a way to go out...that blown call, Snow had all ball on Gasol, that was the momentum killer :banghead:

Actually the foul was on hughes, and hughes didnt even have his hands anywhere to call a foul...

Better effort tonight but still too much inconsistency. The defensive rotations looked better but players are still rotating late or not making the effort.

It's easy to rip Z for all the defensive problems but giving up wide open jumpers and easy penetration was as big or actually a bigger problem than failure to contain Gasol. Z isn't a great defensive player but unfortunately he's forced to guard PF's or the oppositions best interior player rather than just the opposing C.
I'd rather criticize LeBron more for a pathetic defensive effort. Too often he's standing around or not making the rotation he supposed to make. It's his 3rd year. No more excuses. LeBron has the strength, quickness and athletic ability to be a very good defensive player. He needs to step up his effort at that end of the floor. There's more to D than stepping into passing lanes for steals.

An offensive explosion for Snow. He did play much better tonight.

Jones with a big 2nd quarter but than disappeared.

Nice games from both Gooden and Hughes.

Luke Jackson belongs in the rotation ahead of Sasha and Newble. Jackson can create about as well as any other Cav. He has a good ability to set up teammates for easy shots. He also works hard every second he's on the floor.

Better effort tonight but every player has to become more consistent and not disappear for stretches at either end of the floor.

I think the lineup should be changed. It doesnt matter who starts but who finishes. Eric snow can be in there playing D when it matters like last year. We need another shooter in the starting lineup, i have a few ideas.

Idea 1:

Damon Jones
larry Hughes
lebron
drew
Z

With this lineup we get a shooter that lebron and larry can kick it out to in the beginning to get a good lead.

Hughes
jackson or pavs
lebron
Drew
z

again with the better shooting to get out to a good start

Snow
hughes
lebron
marshall
Z

Again someone to kick it out to.

If we keep losing we should implement one of these starting lineups.

If none of these work i think a trade needs to be done moving eric snow.

Your right Pip I don't have to bash Z's defense It's beating the dead horse (ruanus prom date) Those watching FSN for those 2 hours clearly saw how defensively inept he is. It's not like Gasol is doing anything new to Z. Face up perimeter jumpers and wheeling hook shots...I've seen them somewhere before, shouldn't be that big of a shock to him and he shouldn't react so late to them. Ok I'm done...hopefully he will destroy in Toronto...

Toronto should be interesting in terms of the interior "D"... Now they have 2 capable scorers and finishers on the inside..

Snow shouldn't be much of a factor (when is he :chuckles: ) ..But seriously, their PG is nothing to worry about.. I hope :fingersx:

if the cavs lose to the raptors...i dont know what. I think something would seriously have to be done.

definitely missed marshall and to a lesser extinct sasha...just having marshalls cool head out there would have been nice, exp when we get on a run and need someone to hold it together or when they get on a run...oh well, shit happens...

It wouldnt have mattered who we had out there. The Grizzlies scored 113 points. You are never gong to win allowing that many points to someone.

Z is a robot.
