what a fucking joke. we are playing against a god damn average team here and we cant win.

this coach we have sucks. HOW MANY TIMES DO YOU HAVE TO GET BURNED ON THE SCREEN AND ROLL BEFORE YOU DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

everytime they had the ball they did the same fucking thing and we defended it the same way everytime and it never worked.

he is supposed to be some defensive minded coach, that is b.s.

Take it easy man. it's the west coast road trip and this is a ROOKIE coach you're dealing with.

Mike Brown has said over and over that the Cavs have a LONG way to go before they are good team. He is obviously right. We have lots good players ON the team but the team itself isn't all that good. We can get lots of wins with the talent alone on this team, but so can other teams.

In a way I like that Mike Brown says that because it lets me know he is committed to getting better, not just trying to get by with what they have now.

You don't blame the coach ...Lebron just plays defense selectively ....I'm sorry, but ..motivation comes from within ,,,it can't be manufactured ...if Lebron only has the desire to make a decent effort denfensivley only ocassionally ...he'll never fullfill his potential, nor will the team become what it can become. As a coach ....he can't stress or teach defense any more than he is ...he's been as highly successful at teaching defense, and getting his team's to execute his defense as anyone ...his resume speaks volumes. But, the one guy that gets beat most regularly, and is exposed most often is Lebron ...and his main problem from the defensive end is basically giving good effort. He doesn't give strong effort on that end of his game ..he saves it for the offensive end ...as the team leader ...that rubs off, unfortunately ....as he goes ...so goes the team. He's gotta get it through his skull that he's gotta 'bring it' defensively ....

I have a real shocker to send ya guys ...Larry Brown's benching of Lebron on the Olympic team didn't happen without reason ...Larry Brown had a reputation of not letting the loons run the asylum ...and he had his run ins with players that tried to buck the boss ....but it paid off in the long run ....ie ..Chauncey Billups. Rasheed Wallace, Allen Iverson ....he made players realize what it took to win ...now Mike Brown has to make that same transformation in Lebron.... whether he successfully does that will determine the ultimate destiny of Lebron James ...will he ultimately be known as one of the greatest ever ...or just another great player ....and it will determone the ultimate destiny of the Cavs ....will be be a team that wins its 50-some games a year but exits the playoffs without a trophy ....or the one that strings together championships and is seen as one of the great teams in history.

It's all on Lebron ....in a nutshell. He's got all the ability to be the best at whatever he wants to be the best at ...and that HAS to include his defensive game ... ABSOLUTELY HAS TO ....or we ..or him won't be what we could be ....the best.

That was a very entertaining game.......until the end. Our perimeter D was pretty bad. We know the strength of a team, and we still cant stop it.

Fortson is a dirty punk. If he hadnt been ejected, i wouldve shot his head clean off with a magnum.

At least LBJ had a monster dunk. It reminds me of the Charlotte one last year, but more FEROCIOUS!

I wanna see the Cavs get MEAN at LAC tomorrow!!!

That's the spirit HPD. Winning on the road is the toughest thing in the league to do....no matter the competition. Loses will happen. You have to put them behind you and move on. The goal is getting to the playoffs. Things are still looking good for Cleveland in that regard.

Damon Jones was classic last night...hitting WIDE OPEN threes, pimpin and stylin....while giving it right back on the other end. A double edged sword.

So this is the result of spending almost all the time throughout training camp, preseason and regular season practices on defense? Right now there doesn't appear to much difference than last season's D.
I don't put all the blame on Mike Brown but now he is looking like a rookie 1st time coach. At this point in the season teams have been well scouted and opponents now are able to make adjustments. Cavs don't seem yet to have adjusted themselves.

Wine and Gold made great points about LeBron's D--or actually lack of D. At this point in his career LeBron is a terrible defensive player. The occasional steal or block doesn't make up for the lack of effort, failure to even stay close the man you're guarding and failing to show hard on switches and rotations. I don't think LeBron has ever been challenged to play better defense. He's been considered a star since a very young age and all his coaches have let him get away with things he needs to do. It's up to Mike Brown to get on him, challenge him and force him to pick up his effort at that end.
Of course maybe if Brown gave LeBron the needed rest each game he'd have the energy to give a better defensive effort.
Brown is basically now only playing a 7 man rotation. The 5 starters and Marshall and Jones. I think that's a major mistake. He needs to trust his bench more and give them a chance to play minutes each game. LeBron played 45 last night and is averaging over 44 the last 5 games. Hughes played 47 last night and is averaging over 42 the last 5 games. Maybe that was a factor in both getting killed defensively late in the game and not having enough left to finish off drives offensively.

There's no excuse for getting outrebounded by this Seattle team last night. They were the more aggressive team all night.
Marshall's 3 point ability is great but he needs to stop camping out at the 3 point line and not doing much else. he was more effective earlier in the season with scoring in a variety of ways, providing a better inside presence especially with his rebounding.

It's still early in the year so there's plenty of time for improvement but right now this team doesn't look like it is capable of winning a playoff series.

Yeah gonna miss the Saturday 2.30pm tipoff for me. Big Aussie musical festival in Sydney that I will be rocking out to.

Hope somebody is here for some play by plays as they are fun way to recap a game you've missed.

Keeping them off the offensive boards, LeBron actually playing some defense, and Jones not allowing Ronald Murray to look like Iverson will get us in the game down the stretch.
As I said I missed last nights game, but after talking to a few people about the game, it looks like my keys for the Cavaliers's were ignored and were the keys that lead Seattle to victory.

This F'ing stinks. In NC I only get to watch the nationally televised games. Here's the games I've seen so far this year:

@SA
@Indy
@Sea

don't worry. the nba likes to present competitive games by showing the better team on the road - which evens things out and gives the home team a chance. being scheduled for a lot of road games shows that we are a better team. eventually we will win. we would be a better team if we could play most of our games at home. ;-)

after sixteen games we are four games over .500. if we continue at this pace we will win 51 games. last year that was good enough for the third best record in the east, which is where we are now. 50-plus wins is a great nba season. we are a great nba team.
