and if the Lakers shot their free throws well in game three they are swept by now.

I doubt their fans blamed it on the refs though. I'm just saying the people in orlando are so stupid when it somes to basketball that they don't deserve a championship team. I'm pretty bitter.

Guess Stern really wanted to milk one last championship out of Kobe. I'm so glad I haven't watched a minute of this series.

pisses me off that kobe can go 11-31 and win.

And lebron goes 20-30 and ****ing loses.

Mark Jackson: "Kobe bryant is the best player in the history of mankind because he shoots cool looking shots, even though he misses a lot."

Kobe's legacy is safe now. No more, "Kobe can't do it without Shaq", he's going to be on top of the Basketball world for a long time. It's time for D-Wade and LeBron to put pressure on their teams to get them some help, otherwise Kobe will stay on top until he retire.

The only way the Magic can come back and win this series is, if they somehow injured Pau Gasol, Ariza, and Lamar Odom. Otherwise, there's no way they can win this series..

I doubt that, i think kobe's time is now and will be gone in the next few years. Lebron and wade have already passed Kobe in terms of skill, honestly kobe's getting old and he can only keep this up for maybe 2 - 4 more years. His jumper from about 03 - 06 use to be automatic from within 20ft it was like a layup.

People are always looking towards "what's new" and the day that Lebron wins one he will be on top of the basketball world. It's pretty evident that the next 7 - 10 years are going to be the era of Lebron. But in terms of among all time greats, i think kobe's legacy would have been secured even if the Laker's were to lose this year. 3 championships and 6 finals appearances would have been enough to bolt him into all time greatness among real basketball fans who realize how hard it is to get to the finals not to mention win one. But this does help him in terms of those who will always say he didn't win one without Shaq.

But that's just it, it's how people view it...

Kobe's never had to do what LeBron has done over a period of time... The only year he really did was 05-06, and I believe they lost in the first round to the Suns...

LeBron has only had one teammate truly step up in a big game and produce, and that was Gibson a few seasons ago... Otherwise, there's no Ariza-like moments for the Cavs tonight, or Pau, Odom etc...LeBron being compared as Kobe's equal or better than is pretty impressive considering he's never had the teammates and/or coaching...IMO, Kobe has never really lead a team anywhere of significance when he was the only dominant figure on the court.. Then again, he's never had too many chances at that...

He has done it without Shaq, but the quality of teammates that he has had in aiding him to his titles has been off the charts... In some respects, I would have loved to have seen Kobe start out with the team that drafted him (Charlotte Hornets) and actually see him carry a franchise..

I believe his first team won 55+ games his rookie year and his 2nd team won 60+ games with him as a reserve... So, he's pretty much was born into the league with a golden spoon, as opposed to having to build a franchise, like Jordan did, or what LeBron is trying to do...

Kobe has had an odd career...

Yup. I think no matter how old he is, he's still gonna be one of the most dangerous players in the game. He's just that great. I don't like him as a person, but the guy is a straight up baller. I totally respect him as player, i just don't like his personality. Like i said, it's time for D-Wade and LeBron to put pressure on their teams General Managers to get them some help, if they have to call out their teammates/coaches to do so, so be it. I've said LeBron is a better all-around player than Kobe, but what makes Kobe a much tougher player to defend is his ability to score anywhere he wants on the court, that's something D-Wade and LeBron can't do. Kobe is definitely the most unstoppable scorer of all-time. It doesn't matter how inefficient his FG% is, he is the most dangerous scorer ever.

I agree that he was in the right place at the right time throughout his career. But when it comes to take over games, no current NBA players can take over games as consistent as he is. Of course, if LeBron had those chances that Kobe had, he would've more than 3 championships by now. I considered Kobe the luckiest player in the NBA, but he worked his butt off to prove his doubters wrong as well.

When Kobe catches the ball at the top, he's essentially working in 1on1 isolations plays for the most part, whereas the doubles and traps for him come from the post...

Little bit different..

KOBE CAN'T DO IT WITHOUT PHIL :chuckles:

It took Kobe what 13 years to win a championship without another dominant player? Congrats Kobe you finally proved us all wrong  Now people want to sit here and talk about Kobe being the face of the league now and the heir to the throne after they trashed him last year. Seriously how dumb is the notion that Kobe is just now becoming the "face of the league" 10 years after Jordan retired?

Seriously though someone on the Magic should get the MVP because they just gave this game away. As wrong as it sounds I bet Nick Anderson was smiling on the inside when Dwight missed those free throws because he's off the hook.:chuckles:

Kobe shot 11-31 in tonights game, and the lakers still won. If lebron had a game like that against the magic, we would have lost by 20+ points.

LMFAO @ these Orlando fans blaming the refs. Do they not realize that their team shot 17 more FTs than the Lakers? Do they not realize that the fouls in the 4th quarter until the end were 10-0 in favor of the Magic? Do they not realize that the Magic shot 20 FTs in the 4th and overtime to the Lakers' 0 (until the intentional fouls with 1:00 left in OT.)? Overall in 4th and overtime, the fouls were 13-3 in favor of the Magic.

Unbelievable.
