with all of this kobe stuff, is he reall a better player than jerry west, or elgin baylor? Or Moses Malone? I'm really not sure you can put him in the top 10, even after this year.

Kobe is a top 10 scorer that's for sure. I think what separates Kobe from LeBron is a liitle word called TRUST. Trust in his team mates to win the games for him. Michael has it and so is LeBron.

I remembered the botched play in game 3 where Kobe was blocked by Hedo. He is running into a triple team there and he still shot the ball when he can pass the ball to open shooters.

It happened again in game 4. In the ending minutes of the 4th quarter and the overtime period. He is trying to dominate the game by his lonesome. He is lucky that Fisher bailed him for two plays in this game. First is the game tying three and the second was the dagger three which ironically came from Bryant.

You see i made points about the post I made. I said he is lucky that Fisher bailed him out, and there are alot of instances wherein he dominates the ball so much that it is not healthy any more since he looks for his shot more than making the right play.

Watch game 4 again during the crucial stretches of the game and tell me if he trusts his team mates (closing minutes of the 4th quarter and the whole of overtime). His version of KobeIso is more painful and predictable to watch as against the LeBron LeIso.

kobe's per game averages are great, but they're not earth shattering. HIs longevity is what's carrying him though. I still think moses was for sure a better player.

kobe trumps moses malone easily on almost all department except blocks and rebounding. sorry to say. wins,titles,overall production etc. everything favors kobe over malone.


kobe also has better playoff numbers and the most playoff wins among any active players at this point not named shaq. you're seriously underrating kobe's statistical numbers.
