Hey Cavs fans

So Lebron is playing pick up games with Moon, Jawad, and Gibson.

Can his decision be any more obvious. Watch what they do, not what they say.

So what am I missing here?

As Cavs fans, we believe a deal to land Bosh will take Varejao + Hickson + West + Eyenga + draft picks... and we're hoping maybe, just maybe, Hickson isn't involved.

And now we hear rumors of a deal sending Bosh to the heat based around a Chalmers + trade exception + draft picks package...

Really? Either the Heat have much more than that headed to the Raptors (and how can they, they barely have a roster) or the Cavs will not be giving up nearly as much as we all believe.

here it from a bull fan who knows some pretty good/knowledgeble chicago journalists that tell this deal is on hold. portland has accepted it. now the bulls are only going to pull the trigger if they get a commitment from wade or lebron. if not they will keep deng. but this is from sources i know/heard of which is not certainly guaranteed. but i will say jerrod bayless is a great pickup

Too bad the Bulls didn't think it through that far before they committed to giving away Hinrich and their draft pick for nothing.

Man how nice it would be if we could get Paul instead of going after Bosh. At least it appears Paul wants to play with LeBron without all the extra stipulations. Bosh is really making himself look bad if it's true he doesn't want to play with LeBron if it's in Cleveland. Over the course of this Free Agency craziness, Bosh has been self-empowered into thinking he's so important. He needs to realizw he's a sidekick and nothing more...

I don't understand this phenomenon...

The same reporters that posters on here DON'T believe when it comes to LeBron's intentions are now being taken as somehow having some sort of conduit to Chris Bosh's inner thoughts and believed????

Seriously... the guy has been phoning it in with these ridiculous pseudo-conversation columns for years. I can't believe anyone still reads it. I like the guy and I think he's a writer, but he's clearly just bored at this point in his career.

Dont want to get into Pluto debate at all and get what you are saying but sometimes it is refreshing to hear a sportswriter/personality just give a plain and rational explanation of how he feels as a Cleveland fan. It may be hokey and seem like he doesnt prepare but after reading all of the other garbage tweets, blogs and opinions by other pompous talking heads looking to make a name for themselves during this whole FA mess it is nice to hear the thoughts of an eternal CLE optimist once in awhile.

The Miami thing wasnt a rumor. It was Bucher thinking hypothetically.

Boy if LeBron leaves, he is one cruel s.o.b. if he is playing PICK UP games days before his decision with Cleveland Cavaliers players.

I agree with what you are saying if we are sticking with the Cavalier mindset of the recent past of "Championship or die" every year. The difference between Varejao/Hickson/Delonte and Bosh next year is negligible in our chances of winning a title.

In theory, though, LeBron and Bosh form a foundation to build on for the future, both being so young. For Bosh to get max money he would have to sign a 6 year deal. In theory, LeBron would do the same. It may not be easy because of salary cap flexibility to build a sure-fire championship team this summer after trading away all that depth for Bosh, but in those 6 years we sure as hell could attract a ton of talent with a LeBron/Bosh base.

Unfortunately, LeBron has given no signs he plans to sign for anyting longer than 3 years, once again ruining the Cavaliers' long-term planning and probably putting them in the "Championship or Die" mode once again.

Fortunately , LeBron has not given any indications that he would not be willing to sign a 6 year contract...

If you didn't realize, the Cavs and the Heat are not in comparable situations. That kinda explains the difference in packages.

I was thinking the same thing. Not that it is anything definitive, but it seems to me like playing ball with CAVALIERS players says a lot already. It is a luxury to have guys who play for the team in the area be able to attend a camp that is for his own benefit in his own town. I'm sure he could fly guys in if he left, but there is also team building going on there rather than having everyone disband until the end of the summer.

And using the CLEVELAND CAVALIERS ASSISTANT TRAINER

Fortunately , LeBron has not given any indications that he even plans on playing in the NBA next year...

FIXED (as a joke of course - so no one freaks out).

But yeah, I agree with what you originally said. We can't just go off these assumption he is going to re-up for a certain amount of years. If he really was telling people in the media the contract terms he is going to take with the Cavaliers, then a lot of these reports would sound different. Unfortunately a lot of these offseason reports involve assumptions.
