Re: LeBron Free Agency Part V (Judgement Day)

I don't care all that much at this point, I've emotionally hedged my bets. Had lbj hosted a solemn teary presser that would have stung ten times more. Like mooheAd was saying if he stays then he's a hero for Attracting all of his attention to boast about how much he wants to stay in Cleveland. If he leaves it will be ten times easier to hate him and for some odd Cleveland-esque reason that would give some type of closure.

Edit: excuse the poor grammAr ... First time typing on the mobile .

Re: LeBron Free Agency Part V (Judgement Day)

Shelly Smith said Scott didn't even speak with LBJ....either Scott is a dumbass or he already knows LBJ is coming back.....

I thought media was not in the camp today, so how would she know?

Re: LeBron Free Agency Part V (Judgement Day)

Not gonna lie, if i was LeBron right now New York would look really nice seeing as bosh and wade teamed up in Miami. He might want to get a South Beach vs. Concrete Jungle rivalry going....

Sadly I have to agree. If he bolts to NY we can piss and moan all we want but from his perspective it was his chance to finally pair himself with a legitimate star.

I don't know. This is nerve wracking but a but exciting.

Re: LeBron Free Agency Part V (Judgement Day)

LeBron isn't going anywhere, Trust me - And Bosh fucked himself.

Re: LeBron Free Agency Part V (Judgement Day)

Christ's sake I've read so much bullshit since last night that now I actually think he's leaving again. I'm sick of this crap. Time to just do ourselves a favor and find something to occupy ourselves until 9 pm tomorrow when we can end this shit once and for all.

Already tried that, didn't work. :(

And unlike some here, I'm not going into tomorrow's presser expecting ANYTHING.

Re: LeBron Free Agency Part V (Judgement Day)

shelly smith said she spoke with byron scott....

Re: LeBron Free Agency Part V (Judgement Day)

We have a better roster available to win a title than New York does, by far, actually.

He can't use the winning excuse for New York.

Regardless, he's not going anywhere. Book it.

Re: LeBron Free Agency Part V (Judgement Day)

I think most of these free agents don't want to be second fiddle to lebron. He runs every facet of this franchise and has for years, "get me...larry hughes," the front office has tried to listen to Lebron in fear of him walking out the door... Where would you go? To a place where you could be the man and get paid or would you rather go to the cavaliers where Lebron is the master puppeteer (just my conjecture).

I have to disagree. We see Wade and Bosh as we speak still rallying on ESPN for LeBron to join them. A lot of stars want to play with LeBron..just not in Cleveland.

I agree but again from his perspective the chance to play with a legitimate fringe superstar in Amare could trump the overall quality of the roster. Not to mention the Knicks have cap for next summer as well.

I don't know, goddamnit, I was so sure he was staying yesterday...WHAT WENT WRONG!?!?

Re: LeBron Free Agency Part V (Judgement Day)

Well you can make a case that we didn't last year. We traded away our best expiring for Shaq who didn't work out. We also used our MLE on Moon & Parker who weren't great. We traded for Jamison in Feb.

Don't act like we're going to be getting all these players once LeBron re-signs. We're in the same position as last year.

Dude that is improving your roster. If it didnt work out of not, we still did. We had what wally, pavlovic, ben, smith to shaq, parker, moon. Maybe not all that attractive.

But now Gilbert is more in control with grant who is said to be more aggressive GM than ferry. We have been link to to quite a few players. There is no doubt in my mind we will get something with our assets if lebron returns

Until Amare gets injured again and he realizes he's suddenly playing with a worse team than the 2003-2004 Cavaliers.
